Paul's POV

"Juliana, we need to talk about your coronation." Juliana's mom said.

"Now?" She asked.

"You don't need to do much for planning, just approve things. I made the guest list myself, it's on your desk." Her mother said.

"Uh okay, I'll look at it. When are we doing this?" She asked.

"I was thinking some time in July, but it comes down to what you want. The faster we coronate you the faster you can marry. You cannot get engaged before your coronation." Her mother said.

"We haven't even talked about getting engaged, we're not even 18." Juliana replied. I wrapped my arm around her waist and gently rubbed her hip.

Sh take a breather baby girl, it's okay. I cooed softly.

She wants us to get married soon. She said.

"Sweetheart you need a King, the people need a King. I know your young but I have been ruling for a century now. It's time for new eyes and a young mind, you won't be alone. Just because Paul has no title doesn't mean he won't be at your side. I may be stepping down but you can always turn to me for guidance." Her mother explained.

"How old are you?" Juliana asked.

"120, I look good right?" She asked.

"Yeah." Juliana said shrugging.

"I know this is a lot of pressure but the people need a young mind. The people absolutely love you, do you know how many letters I have gotten about you two? I can tell you for a fact not a single one had anything bad to say. The people are eager for your coronation, do you really want this or did you just agree to make me happy?" Her mother explained.

"No, I'm not a people pleaser. I'm not even 18 yet though aren't I you know young?" Juliana asked.

"You are wise beyond your years so I don't think so. Your wise, intelligent, kind, beautiful, headstrong, and fearless. You are exactly what the Supernatural world needs for a Queen." Her mother said.

You want this baby girl, I believe in you. I said softly.

Promise me you'll always be here for me. She begged.

Always baby girl, it's you and me. I said softly.

"Fine, when do you want to have the coronation?" Juliana asked.

"Does the middle of July work?" She asked.

"So soon?" Juliana asked.

"Well when do you want it?" Her mother asked.

"I don't know, I've never been Queen before." Juliana said shrugging.

"You have to start thinking about it, you will be Queen by your 18th birthday." Her mother said.

"What do we have to do for her coronation?" I asked.

"Like the last ball, you share the first dance. Then Juliana dances with her Dad for another dance. The ceremony will be held in the room and the after party will be held in another. You approve everything down to the color of plates." Her mother explained.

"What does the ceremony entail?" Juliana asked.

"Honestly I have more work than you do, I give a speech then you walk down an aisle. I ask you a bunch of questions and you either say yes or I do. Hugo will come down the aisle with the coronation crown. I will announce you Queen and then Hugo walks you back down the aisle. Like the last ball you will be announced and walk down the stairs. Paul will be waiting and you share the first dance as Queen." Her mother explained.

I have a headache. Juliana grumbled. I kissed her temple and gently rubbed the small of her back.

I'm here baby girl. I reminded her.

"I do have a question Paul." Her mother admitted.

"Sure." I said.

"Do you know how fertile you are? Hugo's been coming up empty in that, I was hoping you had something." Her mother asked.

"Mom." Juliana groaned.

"Not very, Sam and Emily have been trying but we have to stop shifting." I said.

"Dragons aren't very fertile, it's a miracle if a dragon is able to get pregnant. We aren't sure how fertile Juliana is because she has shape shifting abilities." Her mother explained.

"Mom we're 17, we haven't even talked about getting engaged. We have had zero talk about children either." Juliana grumbled.

"It took years to conceive you, I'll spare you details." Her mother said.

"Mom we're not worried about kids now, please just drop it." Juliana grumbled.

It's okay, why don't you go take a breather? I offered.

I can't, you keep me calm. She said.

I'm here. I reminded her. I placed my lips back on her temple and she sighed softly.

"Go." I mumbled. She nodded before excusing herself and walking outside onto the balcony.

"One day you will see the importance of this all. Sometimes I find it hard to believe you two fully grasp just how important you two are to the supernatural world." Her mother said.

"She's just stressed, a lot has happened at once." I replied.

"I know, I understand. That's why I'm planning everything for her. I don't want her overwhelmed and stressed over something so silly. I don't do anything much these days." She admitted.

"She tries her best, just give her a break sometimes." I suggested.

"Your everything I hoped for, for Juliana." She said changing the subject.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You're exactly what I wanted for her as a mate, someone who advocates for her in her absences. Someone who takes care of her needs, emotional, physical, mental, and psychological. You take care of her in a way I always dreamed of her being taken care of one day. I always hoped she would be treated right." She explained.

"I will always take care of her, I'm so in love with her. I'd do anything and everything for her, to make her happy and to make her smile." I said.

"I know, and that's what makes you the manliest man. A man who takes care of his woman." She replied. "I'm so proud to know you Paul, it's an honor." She added.

Other than Juliana, I don't think I've ever heard anyone tell me they were proud of me. Hearing she was proud of me, just proud to know me. It fixed my inner child, her gentle maternal arms wrapped around my shoulders. She squeezed my briefly before escorting herself out.

Juliana came back in, I must've had an unreadable expression on my face. Juliana sat down beside me and placed her hand on my shoulder gently. She rubbed her thumb gently.

"What is it?" She asked.

"She was proud to know of me." I said.

"My mom?" She asked.

"Yeah." I said. She knew that I never really had that affirmation growing up.

"I'm always proud of you, each and every day. You amaze me, my heart somehow grows for you. The way you care for others and want nothing in return. The way you love me and take care of me. Thank you for being you." She told me.

"I love you." I whispered. She smiled and laid down on the couch. She laid me between her legs and pulled me down, she rested my head on her stomach. Her fingers through my hair and her other hands fingers rubbed my upper back.

"I'll love you until the end of time." She reassured me. Those 5 minutes were the best 5 minutes of my life, for now.
