She quickly brought her hands up to his neck pulling him down even further to her height. Her hands began to explore the back of his neck that crept up into his long soft hair. Bucky pulled her even closer to him and their chests were magnetized to each other.

But then, the guilt hit. A long kept secret that she hadn't even told Hope made it's way up her throat like bile.

She pulled away catching her breath and Bucky shuddered at the lost connection.

"I'm sorry. That started to escalate," Bucky said in between breaths. "I shouldn't have-"

"No, no. It's not that," Y/N shook her head, resting her forehead on his broad chest.

He raised an eyebrow at her response, but when he saw her look toward Rori's room, he figured he realized what was going on.

"Right this probably isn't the best time to-"

"Bucky, I need to tell you something," she cut him off.

Worry overcame his emotions as he could feel the fear and discomfort radiate off of her.

He didn't say anything back, but instead pulled back enough to look down at her. His arms still around her waist and her's lowering to his chest as she looked up at him.

She cringed as if she had a thought that left a bad taste in her mouth.

"God, I'm a horrible person," she groaned, running a hand down her face and leaning back some out of his touch.

Bucky looked back at the door Rori was asleep behind as if it were a clue, and the worst case scenario popped into his head.

"Please tell me Rori's my-"

"No God! I'm not that horrible. She is your daughter. No doubt about that," Y/N waved off, before going back to rubbing her temple.

"Ok, then what's wrong?" Bucky asked, lowering his head to try and see her face better.

She took a second before looking up at Bucky. Her eyes softened as she realized there isn't an easy way to put this.

"As much as I want to delay the inevitable, there's something about our past that I think you deserve to know," she sighed.

"Our past? You mean when we... hooked up?"

"Yes," she nodded, distancing herself from him and going to lean on the counter behind her.

Bucky picked up on the motion and knew whatever was about to be discussed, didn't sound too promising.

"You know how you said you went back to that same bar multiple times looking for me after, we... You know?" she asked, talking with her hands.

"Yes."

"Well, um, you weren't the only one who did that," she let out a nervous chuckle.

Bucky processed what she was saying and tilted his head.

"You went back too?" he asked.

"Yes, but... After I figured out I was pregnant," she admitted. Instead of trying to guess the next part, Bucky stayed silent waiting to see where she was going. She noticed and took a deep sigh before continuing. "I figured out I was pregnant about 3 weeks in, as you know. At around a month, I was still trying to figure out if I wanted to go through with it and all."

"Yeah, I remember you telling me that. You said something about trying to find me too. Going back to the bar is what you meant?" he asked.

"Yes, but..." she huffed, annoyed at herself. She froze for a second not wanting the next words to come out, but they had to. "To keep a long story short, I lied about not finding you." Her confession came out slow and guilty.
