Demi's POV

It's been yet another long month in rehab and I am officially over it. After my breakthrough last month, I had a whole new set of traumas. A bunch of stuff was brought up about even my dad and how much that abondamment really affected me. It was like every single person that has left me was brought to head and it was a lot. When my family came to visit me a few days later, I had told my mom and Dallas about that breakthrough. I didn't want to tell my dad or Madison, at least not yet.

"Jesse told me that he came out and spoke to TMZ." I say quietly.

"He wasn't supposed to say anything." My mom says and I nod.

"I know. I deserve to know though. Have you guys figured it out yet?" I ask looking up at my mom and Dallas and they both nod relaxing me a ton. "Thank God." I mumble.

"If he continues this, then we will sue him. He's talking to the press about personal stuff and if we do take him to court then he will definitely get arrested because they will further investigate him and find that he is an actual drug dealer which is against the law clearly." Dallas says and I nod feeling better. After that conversation, I tried to forget everything outside the rehab facility and just focus on my recovery. There were definitely more hard days then I would like to count, but I know all the tears and anger will be worth it in the end. At least I hope so.

Today, Jesse is coming to visit me again. He told me last week he would be able to fly out here again and I've been looking forward to today ever since.  I've been in my room waiting for a nurse to tell me that Jesse is here, and finally she opens my door and I smile big and stand up. I follow her over to the family room and I see Jesse standing there, but he wasn't alone. He had Maceo in his arms and I was shocked.

"Hey, I'm sorry. The kids came with me for a weekend trip and Maceo was cranky when I had to head over here. I hope you don't mind." He says and I shake my head.

"No, I don't. Sadie didn't want to come?" I ask rubbing Maceo's back lightly since he was asleep.

"I didn't think it was a good idea. She's older and more aware than he is. I didn't want to cause any issues with Aryn more so." He replies quieting down towards the end and I nod.

"Well let's go back to my room and you can lay him down." I reply and he nods so we walk back to my room and then Jesse lays him down in the middle of the bed and then moves the pillows around him so he doesn't roll off.

"He's grown a lot." I say chuckling.

"He has. They both are growing so fast." He replies as he walks over to me and I smile as he wraps his arms around me in a hug. "How have you been?" He then asks as we pull away.

"Good. You?" I reply as I sit down on the couch that's in my room.

"Good." He answers sitting down himself.

"Okay, this is awkward." I say after a minute of silence and he chuckles and nods before looking over at me.

"I don't mean for it to be. I just- after last month, I don't know how to act around you." He says running his hand over his head.

"Nothing happened last month." I say quietly and he furrows his brows. "We just slept. We did the same thing on the plane on our way here." I then continue as I look down at my hands. "So, it shouldn't be awkward. We agreed to be friends Jesse. So, let's just forget about our relationship and problems. I miss our conversations and laughs, so can we try to just act normal. Please?" I then ask looking back up at him and he smiles and nods.

"Yes, we can." He breathes out and I smile. Just then, I hear Maceo waking up and we both look over to see his sleepy and confused face looking around. "Have a good nap bud?" Jesse asks standing up and he nods as he rubs his eyes. I smile as Jesse picks him up and kisses his cheek as he lays his head on his chest.
