It's already the end of the week and Elijah hasn't seen Elizabeth in person since 'the incident with Dan'. They were both busy so much that neither of them found time for each other. Apart from the phone calls and a few texts they exchanged, however, nothing else happened.
"Be proud of yourself, Liz. Be proud." Elizabeth repeated those words all the way from school back to her apartment. She didn't want to be too excited because then it might not go well and her great enthusiasm could be seen by people on the streets.
As soon as she got to her apartment and threw the backpack into the hallway, she danced all the way to the bathroom. She kept her enthusiasm at 'bay' and told herself she had to endure it until she told him, but she didn't even know if she could do that.
As soon as she got out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around her tiny figure, she walked into the bedroom where she dressed in an outfit she feel is worthy for this opportunity.
She was wearing a grey silk top and a black mini-shirt. She always loved that top, but she wasn't sure about that skirt. "Isn't that too much?" She asked herself when she stood in front of a mirror. However, her fears did not last long and she has already started to devote herself to make-up.
As always, she kept her makeup light almost invisible as she never found herself in these things. Elizabeth maintained that a woman doesn't need to wear makeup. She gave it to herself very little, and only in exceptional situations. For example, situation like this.
She stayed at home for only an hour and then she find herself locking up her apartment. As she made her way to a busy New York street, she checked the time on her phone and smiled for herself. "You're faster than was expected." She said to herself and then started walking.
Elizabeth's been planning this day in her head for a long time. She wanted it to be something special, and that's why she planned to stop by his company and not at home as he could expect.
When she finally stood in front of the building, she couldn't believe what she saw with her own eyes. Could he have been the owner of something this big? She didn't admire the building for a long time and instead decided to enter. Liz's never been here before, she's been so impressed by everything, but she didn't want to get too distracted.
"I'm sorry miss, but this is not building where you can be. This is a discreet society and students don't have free entry here. So if you're not an employee, which I'm sure you're not, you're going to have to leave the building. If it doesn't go well, I'm going to have to call security." A woman behind the counter said to her.
"I'm actually-" Elizabeth want tell her what kind of a relationship she has with her boss but she didn't get that chance. "Miss just leave, you really don't want to get in trouble. Local owners are not very-" This time, she was the one who didn't get the chance to say it all. She was cut off by Moriarty.
"Elizabeth. Hi." Aaron walked down the stairs to Elizabeth. "Hey." Liz greeted him and he gave her kisses on both cheeks. "So, what do you doing here?" It was the first question he asked her. However, he did not give her the space to answer her because he gave her another one. "Why aren't you upstairs? Elijah's office is on the top floor, I thought he said that to you."
"He did and I remember that, I just didn't get chance to go there." She replied to him and let him know that the thing had something to do with his receptionist or whatever they called her.
"Daphne, why she's not up? I already send you email that you should get her a card so she could go everywhere in this building." Moriarty told her to check her emails again and definitely gave her the card. He added a lot of emphasis on the words 'you' and 'she'. He wanted her to understand whose place was where.
