With eyebrows furrowed, you looked at the man standing before you. You gulped, seeing how attractive he was with his raven haired undercut and his steel blue eyes that stared into your soul.

You got lost into his eyes as you made eye contact. The world around you became a blur as it felt as if it was just you and him that existed in this world. It was like time had froze.

None of you said a word as you just stared at each other, but then you realized what had come out of his mouth. He had called you mate, but for what reason? Were you that good at making friends so quickly?

"Excuse me, what was that you just called me?"You spoke where he could hear you. He sighed loudly and turned to you, looking at your body and then up into your eyes again. A loud 'Tch' was heard before he spoke.

"Nothing, I told you to watch where you are going."His monotone voice rang in the air, making you shiver. His voice was even attractive to you, but it never hit you as why it made you shiver.

You nodded and quickly apologized. "Okay mate!" You snapped your fingers and pointed at him with an enthusiastic smile on your face, making the raven haired boy scowl and walk away. You dropped your hands to your sides and frowned.

"Way to go (f/n), you made a complete fool of yourself."You said to yourself as you searched for the front office. You spotted it in the corner of the room as your eyes scanned the place. You walked to the door and opened it, making a loud ding echo.

A lady's head snapped up form her paperwork as she watched you walk in, she sniffed the air and looked at you. You walked up to her desk and tapped on the bell. " May I help you?"Her tone sounded annoyed as she pushed her glasses back up to the bridge of her nose.

You were taken aback by her tone. You didn't know what you had done wrong, after all, you had just walked in the room. You cleared your throat and gave a polite smile, ignoring her rude attitude.

"I'm new to this school and my parents have already enrolled me, so I'm here to pick up my schedule." You said as you watched her sigh and turn to the computer. She typed away and turned to you.

"You got a name?"She said. You held back an annoyed breath and replied with the nicest tone that you could muster. "Yes I do, my name is (F/n) (L/n)." You replied. She typed away again and the sound of the printer went off in the background.

"Go fetch." She said as she gestured to the printer with a smug smile on her face. You gave her a glare and walked to the printer, grabbing the warm sheet of paper and started walking towards the door.

"Thank you, have a nice day!"You exclaimed, waving and exiting the door, but you could hear her mumble under her breath.

"Humans these days."

You clutched the piece of paper in your hands while wandering the school grounds like a lost puppy. Nobody had bothered to help you- not even bothered to acknowledge you. You looked at the door numbers and sighed, seeing that you had to go in the opposite direction.

You turned around and bumped into something-or someone. "Aww geez." A nasal sounding voice rang in the air as the bell had rung a long time ago. A bowl cut looking boy crouched down and picked up his books before sniffling.

You crouched down also and helped him out. " I'm so sorry, I'm so clumsy!" You said as you handed him his books back. He looked like a little boy with suspenders and glasses on, his blue eyes looked at you before shifting back to the ground.

And before you know it, he started to hyperventilate.

"Hot girl, hot girl!" He gasped for breath as his glasses fogged up. You began to freak out because you didn't know what to do. So, being the 'smart' person you were, you slapped the prepubescent looking child across the face.

His eyes watered up with tears as he looked up at you with his blue eyes. Your eyes widened and you began to shake him back and forth repeating "Please don't cry" every second.

He finally got himself together after five minutes passed, making both you and him tardy. His readjusted his glasses, and then looked at you, wiping his eyes of tears.

"You okay?!"You asked him. He nodded and collected his books that he had dropped during his panic attack and stood up. He held out his hand for you to shake.

"I'm Armin Arlet. You must be new so what's your name?"He looked at you with interest as he shook you hand. You smiled back at him. This is the first friend you had made.

"It's (F/n) (L/n). Yeah, I'm new but I'm not the best person to hang out with, I'm too weird." You said as you studied your schedule. You sighed seeing that you were late, and it was the first day of school too.

"Crap, I'm late for class!" You sighed, looking around, then realizing your class was the other way. Armin grabbed the schedule from you and looked around, his eyes widened.

"You have class with me." Armin said. He walked in the right direction, making you follow him. You could hear him whisper the same words under his breath like everyone else.

"Human."

You ignored it and continued to walk to class, but your mind was still in another place. That boy was still in your mind, and you wanted to know the reason why.

Something was defiantly up in this town.
