Chapter #5

Me and Skye were in the temple with fitzsimmons as they worked around us

"There's nothing about this anywhere. It's amazing. I searched every data stream. What do you got here, guys?" Skye said as she tried to touch the thing in the wall

"Whoa, car- uh, careful. I-I- no, wouldn't do that." Fitz said and she backed away

"The object's placement in fossiliferous rock formations suggests it's been here for at least 1,500 years. That pre-dates this temple by a millennium. Ah! Maybe it's alien." Simmons said excited

"No defiantly not alien" I said looking at it

"Yeah I agree, but the shape and the craftsmanship? It's almost German."

"How do you know it's not alien" Simmons asked me

"Well the reason Coulson wanted me here is because I'm an alien biologist and specialist I am trained in all things Alien"

"Oh wow really Fitz look another one for the lab" she smiled at me

"So that's your talent" Coulson smiled

"Yeah My parents were alien biologists before they died so I wanted to follow in their footsteps" I shrugged

"Well the team got a hacker and an alien biologist quite good if I do say so myself" Coulson smiled

Then Coulson got something over the radio

"Go." Coulson says into the radio

"We have a situation." Ward says

"Lots of rebels in this area." Skye suggests

"Not enough gunfire. Keep working. I'm on my way." Coulson says once again leaving the temple

"Are you seeing this? It's alive." Fitz said smiling

"Wha- "alive" alive?" Skye said looking back at him

"It has a functioning power source." Fitz explained

"Sleepy's reading radionuclides, but they don't match any known isotope." Simmons told mainly Fitz

"I get temporal matches, but even then, they seem to shift. Is that even possible?" Fitz asked

"Depends on the shifting of the temporal radio stuff, so-" Skye said trying to fit in but she looks confused And fitzsimmons just look at her even more confused

"it's totally weird, right? I'm gonna go check on Coulson." She says and begins to leave But Ward walks in

"We've got company. National police." Ward said

"What?" Simmons asks confused

"Why are they here?" Fitz asks aswell looking around

"They heard about this object. They're probably here to protect it. This area has lots of rebel uprisings." Ward explains

"Yeah, people are fighting back against the government's mining policies. It's pretty kick-ass." Skye said looking at me and I smiled

"Yeah. It's kick-ass, all the violence." Ward snaps rolling his eyes

"That's not what I'm saying." Skye tries to explain herself

"I know it's what you're typing. In your van, alone -- where it's safe. How much longer?" He snaps and asks Fitzsimmons

"What's the hurry?" Simmons asks at the same time Fitz asks

"Are we in danger?"

"Not if everyone does their job. What is yours, exactly?" He says to me and Skye

"Sounds like they are engaging with rebels. Let's go! They're coming for it. Let's move!" Ward shouts when the temple starts shaking

Skye tries to help putting in the drones to the box

"No, no, no, no, no." Fitz starts saying

"It doesn't matter!" Skye snaps

"It does to me!" Fitz shouted back

"Please, let us do this. We need a containment case for the 0-8-4." Simmons tells Ward

"There's no time!" Ward tells her

"But it has a fluctuating power core! Frequencies way above 10 exahertz." Fitz told him

Something explodes outside

"Sorry. Science class is over." Ward told them and pulled it out from the wall

"Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Wait. You did not just pull that out of the wall. What is the matter with you?! Do you realize we do not know the amount of photon emissions coming out of this- okay. We don't know what will happen if it gets excited." Fitz started rambling

"Stay close." Ward said

"Fitz! Come on!" Simmons said

We went outside and gunfire started to shoot from around us so we ducked in while Ward covered us

"Get back!" He shouts

As many rebels are knocked down we are about to get shot but May pulls up catching the bullet instead

"Get in! Get in!" Ward shouts

"Move! Now!" May tells us all

We all jump into the truck and May starts zooming down the road

"Coulson's secure in PMP's truck. Take the south route to the airfield." Ward tells May

"Gotcha" is all she says

"Slow down!" Fitz shouts

"You're joking, right?" Skye asks

"Ward, listen! We have to be careful. There's a binding energy structure that could overheat!" Fitz tries to explain

"I could roll down a window!" Simmons tries and then the shooting starts

"Do not roll down a window!" I shout

"Stay quiet and keep your heads down. Head left. The ravine empties." Ward tells May again

"But, Ward-"

"Quiet!" May and Ward shout

May begins to open the ramp from the car

"How fast can you have the wheels up?" Ward asks

"Fast." May then pulls up the ramp
And we all jump out

"Ramp!" May shouts

"On it." Ward said and starts the ramp

"What are you doing?! Coulson is still out there!" Skye asks him

"Get off the ramp! You're in the line of fire." Ward tells her

"Cut it pretty close, sir." Ward said as Coulson Reyes and her men jump on the plane

"Didn't want to leave anyone behind." Coulson said

"gotta say it, I miss my van." Skye said panting

"ai, quod lets potum" (ai, let's drink to that) I said so only skye heard me she gave me a smile

"Now, what was the problem?" Ward asked

"As I said before, this device has a high-frequency, fluctuating, sub-material compression-"

"Fitz, in English." Ward snaps

"The 0-8-4 is fueled by tesseract technology. Hydra, World War II, Captain America. It's full of lethal amounts of gamma radiation." Fitz pants

"Gamma... you're saying it's nuclear?" Ward asks

"No. He's saying it's much, much worse." Coulson said and we all take a step back

I was walking around the bus and opened a random door looking for the kitchen it turned out to be the cockpit where Coulson and May the woman from earlier were talking

"Sorry wrong door....I'm just gonna...yeah bye" I said slamming the door I heard Coulson chuckle a little and I smiled
