20. You and I

You stepped back into the castle late the following day and you felt right at home. You walked up to Gryffindor tower with George hand in hand. It felt good to be back with things right with George again, better than right. You smiled up at him and he pulled you into his side wrapping his arm around you
"Have I ever told you how much I love you" he asked
"Only a million times" you laughed "in the past few days"
The two of you sat down on the couch in front of the fire place in the common room while Fred went off to find Angelina.
"I'm not ready to start back up" you whined
"You and me both love"
"When does quidditch start back" you asked
"That's a good Fucking question" George said looking around the room "I'll have to find Angelina and asked"
"I can't wait to watch you play again"
"Oh yeah?"
"For sure" you giggled and fell onto his lap smiling up at him
"I'll have the best looking cheering section" George winked 
"Oh you've got to be kidding me" you sat up from George's lap and saw Katie had just come down the stairs from the dorms
"Fuck off Katie" you sat turning away from her
"How could you stoop so low George after you had the best" she asked running her hand along his shoulders "you said I was the best you'd ever had, are you going to think of me....when you're fucking her" she whispered in his ear loud enough for you to hear
"You're disgusting Katie and I Fucking lied to you, get off of me" George pushed her away and she gasped
"You both deserve each other" she said before walking off. You got off of George's lap and stood up
"Hey what's wrong"
"I just think it's time I head to bed"
"Wait wait" he grabbed your hand and he stood up too "is it what Katie said"
"I had always kind of assumed you had slept together but to actually hear it, especially from her....is hard" George sighed and looked upset
"I'm sorry Samantha, if I could take it all back I would"
"I know I just....it's hard"
"I understand"
you got up on your tiptoes and kissed George gently before heading upstairs
"Hey wait" he shouted after you "are you busy after class on Friday"
"Don't think so"
"Meet me at the astronomy tower at seven"
You smiled to yourself as you went up to your room.

It was Friday morning and you walked with Harry and Ron down the hall while they were on their way to transfigurations
"Hey Harry when will we hear more about that thing you want to do that you mentioned over break"
"Oh....I'll send a message this weekend" he nodded
"What thing" Ron asked
"Nothing Ronald" you laughed and messed up his hair, he pushed you away and his face turned red
"Stop that" he pushed your hand away quickly fixing his hair making Harry laugh at him.
You got to the the the transfigurations classroom and said goodbye to the boys before you continued on to your charms class meeting up with Lee. The day dragged on and all you could think about was meeting George later tonight. You scribbled down your notes and tried to focus on professor Flitwick the best you could but you ended up just staring out the window for the remainder of the class.
When you were dismissed you gathered up your books and hurried as fast as you could to your room. You threw your books on your bed and pulled open your closet discarding your robes as you did. You looked through your closet and pulled out a yellow and green striped sweater and a pair of jeans. You looked at your reflection in the mirror and ran your hands through your hair quickly and tucked your wand away in your pocket before hurrying out of your room. You made your way down to the common room and headed towards the door
"Where are you headed dressed like that" Katie laughed at you, you turned around and smiled at her
"On a date with George" you continued out the door and waved at her as you did. You made it to the astronomy tower and started up the stairs, when you got to the top George was waiting for you
"Hi" he smiled widely at you "I'm glad you came"
"Of course I came" you smiled as he wrapped you in a hug
"You look beautiful" George mumbled into your hair and you giggled as he ran his fingers over the locket that hung around your neck.
"I don't, but thank you" you looked around the astronomy tower and saw a few blankets on the ground, some food and candles scattered around.
"Wow George, you did all this?" You asked
"Nothing but the best for you" George brought you over to the blankets and the two of you sat down and George wrapped a blanket around your shoulders "Comfortable?"
"Yes very" you smiled and snuggled into the blanket. The two of you sat and snacked on food George had brought from the kitchen while you talked about your days
"So you're telling me you set off a dungbomb in Snapes office and locked him in" you laughed
"Oh yeah he was pissed" George said looking proud
"How much detention did you get"
"None we left immediately" George told you "for all I know he could still be in there"
"George Weasley" you shouted and hit his arm
"Ow" he rubbed his arms "what"
"You're ridiculous" you laughed and shook your head, George just shrugged and have you a big goofy grin
"Oh I got these especially for you" George handed you a box of peppermint toads
"My favorite" you smiled and popped one in your mouth
"So..... I mean I love spending time with you and everything but that's not exactly why I asked you out here tonight" George said and nervously ran his hands through his hair "I asked you to come out here because I was hoping that you maybe you'd want to be my girlfriend"
"George" you smiled at him "of course I would" George smiled and grabbed you in a kiss that felt like he never wanted to let go. You wrapped your arms around his neck and moved yourself closer deepening the kiss. When you finally pulled away you both had huge smiles on your face.
"You're mine now"
"Forever" you whispered back
"Do you know when I fell in love with you" George asked
"When.... Oh wait let me guess, third year when I showed everyone my Tits" you joked
"No" George laughed "however nice that was it the following year, Hermione had been petrified and I remember how upset Harry and Ron were. You spent every night in the hospital next to Hermione so those two would leave and get some sleep and when they didn't leave, you let them sleep up against you. You cared for them and Hermione like they were your own siblings, and that's when I knew"
"I don't know what to say" you said quietly to George
"That's fine" he kissed your head and smiled "I just wanted you to know"
The two of you sat in each others arms for the rest of the night just enjoying each other's company.
