The CW (famous for shows like The Vampire Diaries and it's spin-offs, and Riverdale) has reportedly bought the rights for The Lost Boys, and are currently working on making it into a TV show...however...
We all know about our two beloved protagonists, Michael and David. Welp, as it turns out, they are not in this. Instead, they are replaced by Garret, the Michael counterpart, and Benjamin, the David counterpart (but who decided they were going to name a vicious vampire BENJAMIN?? Like seriously??) We can also forget about Santa Carla. Now it's supposed to take place in North Carolina.
So far, nothing's been announced regarding the other Lost Boys (Dwayne, Marko, and Paul), but it's safe to assume their names are also going to be trashed.
Star's name has become "Elsie" and we no longer have the beloved Frog brothers. Now, we have the "Frogg Sisters".
And it's being co-directed by the director of Twilight. The point is reportedly to bring The Lost Boys to a younger generation, and on behalf of my generation (Gen Z), I'd just like to say "Take it back. We do not want it."
