Chapter Five- Future

Mon-el's POV-

Ow. My head smashed against the pod. My eyes were still closed but I could see the sunlight. I must be on earth- or some planet with a sun. I opened my eyes and saw National City. Huh? I just left National City. I felt a necklace in my hand. Kara. I left her. I looked at the necklace then put it around my neck. No matter what I did I would never ever forget Kara. My only love. I saw someone coming toward me. He had a suit on with three light things on his head. I quickly got out of my pod not sure what was happening.

"Hello Mon-el," He said. I saw someone else, a female, walking behind him. How did he know my name? I looked behind me to see if he meant someone else.

"How do you know my name?" I asked.

"We know you in the future," the female replied.

"Huh? How?"

"Normally we wouldn't have met you yet but we need your help for some things," The man replied. He seemed smart.

"Ok... Well, it would be nice to know your names and who you are," I asked.

"Yes, that would be smart. I'm Querl Dox or Brainiac Five."

"We call him Brainy though," the female added. She reminded me a little of Kara.

"And who are you?" I questioned.

"I am Imra Ardeen. We are the Legion. Superheros." As soon as she said that word I knew where they were getting to. They wanted my help as a superhero.

"And what powers do you have?" I asked.

"Who's Kara?" Imra asked. Telepathy. I thought of all of the special moments I've spent with Kara and when we trained together then an explanation of her being Supergirl.

"She's my girlfriend... or was. She's Supergirl. Kara Zor-el," I finally replied.

"We've heard myths of Supergirl," Brainy said. How could they not know who Supergirl is? This is National City after all right? That's where she fights. Wait, could she be here? Except where is here?

"This is the 31st century," Imra answered.

"What?? I have to get back," I complained then remembered I can't. I can't breathe the air or I'll die. Wait how am I breathing this air. I should've died. "How?" I started, at first looking at Imra because she'd. understand the question if she'd read my thoughts, "How am I breathing the air?" I looked at Brainy.

"L-corp created a cure," Brainy replied.

"Are they still around?" I asked.

"Who?" They both responded.

"The DEO and Supergirl, Catco, L-corp." Brainy shook his head and Imra answered.

"They're all dead by now but the companies are still here though not as popular." I wanted to find Kara or someone related to her.

"Is there any of their relatives?" I asked.

"There might be but it would be hard to know," Brainy said. I'm in 1,000 about years in the future National City. Could I ever get back to Kara? To the DEO. Back to 2017. I need to get back.

"What do you need me for?" I asked. It must be for some battle or problem with a villain. But why me? They're the smarter ones obviously. They have probably a lot more advanced technology than in 2017.

"There's a villain that is going to affect this time but we have to stop that," Brainy answered.

"Why do you need me? You seem like you could do that easily on your own." I noticed that they both had the same ring on their hand that had an L on it.

"We could do fine on our own but it would be a better choice to have you fighting with us and there are some things we can't do."

"Ok... So you want my help... How does this benefit me?" I asked.

"Well... you know some people already. It would be much harder to start a new life," Imra said, "You'll get to get being a hero."

"Do I get to think about this?"

"Yes, but we already know your answer," Brainy said.

"How would you know my answer?"

"Like I said. We know you in the future," Brainy replied. Maybe they can help me get back to Kara and Imra had a good point.

"Of course we'll have to train you and make sure our plan is good," Imra added.

"Ok. Fine, I'm in." Brainy took something out of his pocket. It was another ring. "What's that?"

"Well since you're in and we know you don't betray us your part of the team. The Legions. This is The Legion ring. It has some cool features," Brainy answered. I took the ring and put it on my ring finger. At first, I smiled, I joined a new team but then I wished that this finger could've been the one wearing a wedding ring and Kara's being the other hand with a wedding ring on it. If only I could've stayed. I know I would've proposed within a year or two or less even. I'll never give up hope.

"Ok. What first?" I asked. I looked both of them in the eyes. They could know they'd have a new team member. I would know someday I'm going to find Kara and marry her to me. Until then I might as well get stronger... see if anyone remembers who Kara is... try to get back to Kara.

"You learn about this century and its technology then we train you," Imra said.

"Ok," I answered. Brainy and Imra suddenly lifted themselves into the sky. "Where are you going?"

"Flying to our ship. You're coming too," Imra answered.

"How?" I asked. Was that one of their powers? They could fly?

"The ring lets us fly," Brainy explained. I looked at the Legion ring on my finger.

"So I can fly? How..."

"Well... Just push yourself into the air," Imra replied. I trusted the hand with the ring on into the air and I rose above the ground. Wow, awesome. I guess this won't be miserable. "Cool. I'll follow you." Brainy nodded his head then started flying to the east with Imra behind him. I followed them.

They soon told me their real or well most important reason for needing me, they would need my help in the past, where I had lived. They want to stop something that had happened from happening. But for now, it was mainly the villains here.

Soon a month had passed(Which would be a week for Kara), who knew I could do a beard, I started to have feelings for Imra. I didn't want to like her though. I only want Kara. Brainy and Imra told me about the supervillain called Blight who was a villain in the 21st century called Pestilence. Ah, more information on why they want me each day. I would help them. I needed to keep my reputation up for Kara. Kara. I love Kara. I felt as if they were hiding something from me about the plan but I wasn't going to question them about anything. I'd do anything to see Kara again. I'd give up all of my powers, anything.

"You'll see her again," Imra said shocking me. She'd read my thoughts. I tried to believe her.

Author Note- Hi People! Two Chapters on the same day. This one I had a lot of fun writing. I think I'm gonna make like one or two more Kara Pov chapters then skip forward to when Mon-el comes back.
