Maddy's Transformation

Today field trip to the Isle of Lindisfarne and we were hearing an entire lecture for Mr.  Jeffries. "The Isle of Lindisfarne as I Express in my book resources and religion on medieval Lindisfarne has always been a sanctuary imagine a safe haven as it is cut off from the outside world for most of the day which is why we have time to our visit so carefully," Mr. Jeffries said. I just shook my head as the bus came to a stop. Everybody grab their bags off the bus and proceeded to get off. But of course, Maddy and Rhydian were too busy playing with each other. The two ran off the bus bumping into one another with smiles on their faces. "What's up with you Mads," Tom asked. "I'm just excited," she said. "What does everyone going to do when we get back I was thinking my mom hatched some chicks and they are so fluffy you have got to see them," Shannon said. "Sorry Shan Rhydian and I will be going over to Maddy's tonight," I said. "Yeah sorry my mom's making a family tree and we're going to learn more about their heritage," she said. She held a devilishly grin on her face before pushing Rhydian. And with that, the two took off running again. Everyone headed inside the castle when Mr. Jeffries called. And we all piled inside to hear Mr. Jeffries talking about how old it was. As the teachers were talking Maddy started swaying back and forth until she couldn't take it anymore and ran out of the room. Rhydian and I both followed after her to find her at the top of the castle leaning over the edge breathing heavily. "Yeah that small seller's not looking so good now is it," I said looking over the edge. "Tonight's going to be horrible, I don't know how my parents do it," she said. "I don't know how we're going to do it," Rhydian said. "Yeah sucks to be you," I said smiling. "They're up here," a voice said. Tom came to the entrance with excitement in his voice. "Oh you guys missed the best part monks were getting their heads chopped off it was brilliant," he said standing by us.

The teacher then came up next she looked around at the view and smiled nervously. "Oh dear this is quite high, isn't it. I got a bit carried away down there I'm sorry if I startled you three" she said. "it wasn't you miss" Rhydian said. "Yeah just a wee bit of claustrophobia," I said. "I understand that the imagination is more powerful than the logical brain you know there's no danger a roof or in a crowded room but still," she said. "So what do we do miss when you need to get to someplace and instinct is telling you is too scary to even try," Maddy asked. "If I knew the answer to that question, Maddy, I will feel a lot better standing on this roof, see you downstairs when you're ready," she said leaving. "Didn't know claustrophobia was it contagious" Tom said in disbelief. We looked at each other and shrugged. He headed back in and we all did the same. When we join the class again it was lunchtime. Mr. Jeffries was going on and on about a quest hunt for us as we were unpacking our lunches. Rhydian and I both opened our lunches to see it stopped with different vegetables. We both groaned loudly and threw our food down. My stomach growled loudly making Maddy laugh. She tossed both of us a leg of chicken which we caught easily. I stared at the meat hungrily before digging into it. When we were done with our lunches the quest has started and the five of us were walking down a hill as Shannon read the directions. Maddy was a little happier with some food in her system in fact she was running all around us as a four-year-old would do at an amusement park. "Well we know what questions 12 through 15 are so we just need to answer three questions in The village two in the line killed, ball in the pyrene, and two on the beach," She said. "Okay, then you two take the church in the village and the rest of us will do the rest sorted," Rhydian said. "Except we're a team we're not supposed to split up," Tom said. "Jeffrey doesn't care how we get the answers as long as we have them" Rhydian replied. "And if we finish fast enough have we can all go for ice cream," Maddy said enthusiastically.  "Oh yeah brilliant, alright so we'll meet you both after prior later yeah," Rhydian said before he and Maddy ran off laughing. Tom and Shannon just stood confused before turning to me. "What do you think we should do Theo," Shannon asked. "I think, Maddy and my brother are idiots," I said smiling. Shannon just smiled while Tom laughed loudly and patted my shoulder. "That they are my friend that they are" Tom agreed. My brother came back and put his arms in the air and looked at me with a frown on his face. I rolled my eyes and looked at Tom and Shannon. "I see you later yeah," I said. They nodded their heads and said their goodbyes before walking away.  I walked over to Rhydian smiling. As soon as he started walking away I ran up behind him and smacked the back of his head. I laughed loudly as he chased me.

As we were doing outside of the quest hunt which we barely did we started talking about the full moon and how the island will be such an amazing place to just run around and be free. But are good times some interrupted when we saw Jimmy and his crew. "Idiot ahoy, stealing the crab's lunch money are we," Rhydian said smiling. I cracked a smiled at the comment and shook my head. "haven't got any they're feeling the pinch" he said. I cringed at the joke he made and looked at Rhydian. "I'll tell you what I'll settle for your worksheet answers," he said. My brother smiled and looked at the folder in his hands. "Have at it" he said before tossing him to folder. Jimmy and his friends all smiled at the border and when Jimmy opened it I saw each of them die. "It's blank," he said. Jimmy ripped Rhydian's back[ack off his shoulder and threw it on The boathouse roof. "Go fetch leak boy," he said. Rhydian just shrugged and climbed up top. I could hear the mummers coming from Jimmy as they looked at Rhydian uneasily. He then started walking on t the point of the roof with his arms in the air to keep balance. It wasn't long before he lost his balance and slipped and fell off the group hitting the ground with a loud thud. Maddy shouted his name and we ran over to him to check on him. The others came too and somebody was about to help him out when I slapped his arm away. "Don't move him he could have broken the phone just go get help, GO!!" I shouted. "Are you okay where does it hurt?" Maddy asked. "It's my ankle," he said. "You are a dumbass," I said looking at him. Maddy smacked my arm and looked at me with a frown. "Gee thanks for letting me know brother," he said sarcastically. "What you are," I said. "Don't worry about me Maddy has to get off this island tonight" Rhydian said. "What and leave you two alone" she exclaimed. "You can't technically be alone if someone is there with you," I said. "Plus one of the teachers will stay with us and the other will get you home," Rhydian said. "you can't transform with the teacher staying with you," she said. "I'll be fine just go get out of here while you still can," he said. "I'm not going anywhere I'm going to make sure you get through this" she replied with a smile. "Maddy if you want to transform with your parents you need to leave now," I said. "He's right Maddy you need to leave now" Rhydian agreed. It wasn't long before Jimmy ran back with Mr. Jeffries right by his side.

"She has to go home sir," Rhydian said. "it's all right it's fine we're all going to get home tonight don't you worry about that," he said reassuring everyone. He then kneeled down and looked at Rhydian's ankle before nodding his head. "Okay it doesn't appear to be broken so we can move him. Theo help me would you" he said to me. I nodded. And we each put an arm over our shoulders. And with that, we all started making our way back towards the bus. As we were taking him to the bus he wouldn't stop talking about getting Maddie home making me growl. "Will you shut the hell up and let us help you?" I said. "Theo language, but yes Mr. Morris please be quiet," Mr. Jeffrey said. I looked at the sky and saw the clouds getting dark.  "If that isn't symbolic I don't know what it is," I thought to myself.
