Natalia pov

was i surprised by his words? no, still i had a feeling that i couldn't describe but something tells me it wasn't good. the whole night i been over thinking

and i know that this wasn't the only thing that was bothering him, no there was more.

before i can think about anything else, i got off of bed and started getting ready for a new day. i didn't get any sleep last night. after getting ready i went downstairs again. i walked in the kitchen

mattia was setting down on the chair eating breakfast, he looked up at me, and there they were, the same dark eyes

i gave him a small smile but he didn't return one

instead he looked back down at his food and kept eating, i narrowed my eyes and walked up to the table

"how did you sleep?" i asked mattia as i took a seat on the chair across from him, he placed down his spoon looking up at me right after

"fine, i slept fine. why do you care" he harshly answered, i bit my top lip, there was no way he remembered anything from last night.

"lose the attitude mattia. i was just asking a simple question" i said, he looked surprised by my words and yet he didn't show he cared at all

"if you don't like the way i talk to you then don't even speak to me" mattia said, this is why you can't never make a conversation with this guy, it's like he takes everything to heart

"then how the fuck am i supposed to get to know you more?" i said, but my words looked like it got mattia even more mad

"that's the thing, we won't get to know each other,
even if we wanted to." he said, after that we both kept silent

it was an awkward silent

but it wasn't too long for mattia to get up from his chair and let out a sigh that seems like he's been holding

"i think it's best if we keep our distances." mattia spoke up, i looked up at him. i was taken back. those were the last words i wanted to hear "now if you excuse me i have to go" was the last thing he said before he started walking

"is it because you kissed someone else?? i don't care about that mattia" i said, he stopped walking and slowly turned around to look at me

"what?" he sounded surprised, yeah he didn't remember anything from last night

"forget about what i said." i said.

mattia stood there, he didn't say a word. after a couple of seconds he walked out

who gets this guy? one day he's nice, caring and the other day he's the whole opposite. i looked around my surroundings like a stranger. another day in this house

it's like i wanted to spend my time outside from this house but didn't have no where to go

i was talking to stella when i heard a knock on the front door, i looked at stella who placed down her coffee, i stopped her and got up

"i'll get the door" i said giving her a warm smile before making my way to the door

i opened the door, my eyes met a pair of dark blue eyes, the guy looked familiar as i narrowed my eyes, he gave me a smile before speaking up

"is mattia home??" he asked, i shook my head

that guy hasn't come home since he left earlier in the morning

"do you mind if i wait here for him? i have to talk to him" the guy in front of me who name i didn't know said

"what's your name??" i asked the guy

"jackson." he said, i nodded opening the door wide for him to walk in, i then realized mattia works with this guy, jackson gave me another smile as i took him over to the living room

"do you want anything to drink?" i asked him

"no thank you." he said taking a seat on the couch, i nodded, i didn't know whether to stay and keep him company until mattia comes or leave him here alone and let him do god knows what

i decided to stay

i took a seat on the other couch

"i'm natalia" i said to jackson who looked over at me, he chuckled

"i know that. your mattia's wife. i've heard about you" jackson said leaning back on the couch, i bit the inside of my cheeks and nodded

we talked, we actually had a conversation.

"what made you marry mattia?? i'm curious" jackson asked out of no where.

and i didn't know what to tell him, i couldn't tell him i and mattia were basically forced, so i came up with a lie

"love." that was my answer, it's the only right answer
