"Davis, the presentation you made is good, but there are some minor corrections. I have mailed you the details. Please revise it." My boss said as soon as I placed his coffee on the desk (on left hand side and 2 inches….forget it).

"And give this file to the finance department." He pointed at a gray file on the desk.
"Yes sir" I picked it up and turned to leave, relieved that he didn't mention anything about that day.

"Umm Ms Davis…"
I turned around to face him. Dreading, What he wants to say now.

"I am… sorry I yelled at you…unm unnecessarily l was not having a good day…hope you understand." He said, avoiding any glance at me. His eyes filled with guilt.
I was shocked because he had never apologized to me ever.

"I am sorry too… I… should have not reacted…" I

He nodded in understanding. I turned to leave again.

"Ms Davis…. I.....ummm want to thank you…umm..." He cleared his throat. My heart was thumping loudly. No…no… please don't tell me you know...

"I want to thank you for… saving me…" He completed his sentence with difficulty.

"That's ok." I said. HE KNOWS, He knows, Oh! My god. How will I face him ever? I was about to rush out when I felt him coming closer to me. I didn't know how to react…

"Hey Bro" someone called out, opening the door. I turned to look who it was.

Giulia Anderson was standing at the door with a huge smile on her face. She was beautiful, slim, tall, and perfect, like model perfect.

"Are you both busy? Should I come later." She asked with raised brows.

"No, it's ok, but what are you doing here?" Mr. Anderson asked, going back to his seat.

"I came to check up on you. You should rest for a few…"

"I am perfectly alright." He snapped, which made her huff and roll her eyes.

"Hey Jia," she leaned on the desk.

"Morning Ms Anderson. I greeted her professionally.

Come on, call me Lia, we are family. You are my best friend from today onwards." She came and hugged me. I was taken aback for a second. Mr. Anderson to looked at us astonished. "You will be my maid of honor at my wedding." She said with excitement. Wow, that was…fast.

"Whose getting married?" Richie…umm, Richard came in with his focus on Lia. He had not even talked to me after our incomplete lunch date.  He finally saw me and gave a beautiful smile. Which didn't affect me. I was a bit disappointed, not hurt just disappointed with his behavior.

"Hey Jia," he said, and I returned a tight smile at him.

"Who is getting married?" Richard asked again.

"I am."  Lia said, as if challenging him. What is with these two?

"Why are both my siblings here early in the morning" Mr. Arrogant said getting irritated.

I slipped out, not wanting to be part of their family bickering.

I was busy doing my work when Lia came at my desk

"Hey, are you busy?" She came and sat on my desk.

"No, nothing much"

"I wanted to thank you again, and I am serious about you being my maid of honor. Date is not finalized yet…but I will let you know." She was a bit reluctant and distant talking about the date.

"You three are very close, your parents must be so proud of you, isn't it? I said. Having a family and siblings was so unknown to me.
Lia started laughing.

I was so confused, I didn't crack a joke, instead I said in an emotional way. I told you this place is full of weirdos.

"I don't know about any of our parents but we are proud of each other" I Furrowed at her words.

"We are not related by blood."

"WHAT??" It just came out of my mouth.

"Hey girls" Sofia came to my desk. She handed us a card.

"My wedding invitation, good I found you here itself, Lia. You both have to come. I will go and invite Mr. Anderson." She went towards his office.

"Try your Luck" I said out loud and Lia looked at me. "Umm, he never attends any public event so…" Ugh, why can't I think before speaking.

"He has to, he is the best man." I saw the name of the groom, Rashid? I know this name from somewhere…

"Yes doctor Rashid. He is Viktor's friend." Lia gave information. Ahh yes Doctor Rashid. "Bro introduction them you know, and they fell for each other, cute isn't it" ya very cute. He must have done, so Sofia could forget him and move on. Smart Mr. Anderson.

"We all met at an orphanage when we were children, Rashid, Bruce, Viktor, Richard and me. As l and Richie were younger, Viktor took care of us like an elder brother, after that, we were stuck together forever." 

Ohh!

"Buy why Bruce worships Mr. Anderson." I was always curious to know.

"Bruce went to the army with Viktor, and they were together in that mission. It would have been Bruce in bro's place if, bro had not saved him." She lamented.

I am... I don't know what I feel, seriously, I don't know. I always thought him to be pompous and arrogant. Rude and snobbish, but he is so different. He touched everyone heart in his arrogantly rude way of showing care. This broken, shattered man had made the life of everyone around him, whole. What is this man.
