The morning flew by as Hayato took me around the city. We went though many shops, stores, restaurants, theaters, and even museums.

The museums were particularly liked by Hayato. They were set up all around the city, because one building couldn't contain all that was kept within its brick walls.

I wasn't too fond of the idea to go in after having to endure Sensei Hitori's history lessons all the time. But bit my tongue after noticing the spring in Hayato's step and the excitement added to his voice.

Inside there were ancient vases, baskets, art, drawings, writing, and anything else you could imagine. Hayato explained everything in detail when we walked by, his eyes glittering with his enthusiasm.

I found myself entranced as well. His voice was much better then Sensei Hitori's, and I actually understand what he was saying. I had no idea such rich history went into such mundane, everyday items.

By the time we were done exploring all the museums, I found myself reluctant to go. I secretly wished some new kind of item would magically appear, giving us an excuse to stay longer.

But alas, that wish could not be fulfilled.

"Oh wow, it's so late..." Hayato turned his nose up to the sky colored a light pink and blue.

"Guess we should be getting back by now..." I mumbled with a slump of my shoulders. "It seems like we just got here..."

"Well, we can't leave just yet, Iris-chan. Not until you see the grand finale."

     "Grand...?"

Hayato grabbed my hand once more and tugged me through the streets that were even more packed with the setting of the sun.

After turning corner after corner we finally ended up in what appeared to be the center of village. The buildings were now in large circle, and in the center of the circle was a fountain that seemed to stretch into the heavens.

It was made from white brick on the base, and comprised of what appeared to be shining silver statues, each in a different pose, all the way to the top, where an image of a sun and its long beams stretched out into thin whisps at the end. Water trickled off the sides and through each statue before trickling into the pool of water at the bottom.

Hayato walked over, still clinging to my hand, and rested on the side of the fountain as he gazed up at the stautes. "Iris-chan... You've been studying at the guild for awhile now... Do you know what each of these statues mean...?"

     "...?"

My eyebrows scrunched together as I cranned my neck back. Hayato apparently isn't aware of the teachers making fun of me for not being able to learn...

Sensei Hitori's lessons are dull and boring, and all the others are just over my head...

"Do you know, Iris-chan? I thought Sensei Hitori would've done that lesson by now..."

Hayato placed a hand on my shoulder, breaking me away from my thoughts. My face was hot as I hung my head in shame.

Hayato-sama knows everything about everything... And I struggle with every class...
