"So how long do you think we'll hide this for?"
Chongyun shrugged
"Dunno, not for long though. Someone is bound to find out sooner or later"
Xingqiu rested his head against Chongyun's chest as he felt his cold hand run through his hair
"You have such nice long hair Qiuqiu..."
"Why thank you! It's a pain to take care of but it looks nice so I'll keep it"
Chongyun chuckled lightly and let his arm wrap around Xingqiu's waist. Xingqiu slowly wrapped himself up in the blanket and snuggled into Chongyun's embrace. Both boys slowly let the sleepiness take over them until a knock interrupted the comfortable silence
"My apologies if I disturbed anything but Mister Chongyun is being requested to return back home."
Xingqiu's eyes slowly fluttered open and he sat up. He stretched his arms and blinked several times to adjust to the dark room.
"Alright, I'll be out in a moment. Thank you Akemi"
When Chongyun replied, his voice sounded slightly harsh. It was a little deep and raspy from him just waking up. Xingqiu felt Chongyun shifting around beside him and he looked back to see his icy blue eyes flickering around to try and see his surroundings
"Guess you gotta head home now..."
Chongyun sighed and nodded
"Guess so, today was nice. Thanks for letting me stay over for so long"
They turned to face each other before pressing their lips together. The air around them seemed to turn slightly cooler and when they broke the kiss, the air went back to normal
Chongyun got off the bed and Xingqiu quickly followed, grabbing onto his boyfriend's hand. He reached out to open the door but Chongyun stopped him.
"Hold on Xingqiu"
Xingqiu looked back in confusion but before he could say anything, Chongyun had already cupped his cheek to kiss him. Xingqiu quickly melted into the kiss and sub-consciously wrapped his arms around Chongyun's torso
When they parted, Chongyun lightly touched Xingqiu's nose with his own
"Just one last kiss"
Xingqiu let out a small giggle before pressing his lips onto Chongyun's cheek
"Thank you for today Chongyun, I've never been happier"
They both exchanged smiled and exited Xingqiu's room. They were blinded by the bright light in the hallways and a blue haired maid looked up at the two boys before bowing in respect
"Princess Xingqiu, Mister Chongyun. I will escort you to the main hall"
"Thank you Akari"
She nodded and turned around, slowly leading towards their destination.
"My sister was called to tend to a few other matters so she instructed me to walk with you"
She extended her hand to the doorknob and opened the door for the two boys. They both went in and were immediately greeted by the sight of Xingqiu's parents chatting with Chongyun's
"My son has been disappearing off the bother your daughter more often then ever, I hope he's not getting into much trouble here"
Chongyun's father let out an exasperated sigh as his wife tried to reason with him
"Chongyun is just good friends with the Princess and he's a good kid... I'm sure if anything is wrong, he can make he own decisions"
Just when she finished her sentence, everyone in the room realised two new presences in the room.
"Good Evening Princess"
Both of Chongyun's parents simultaneously bowed and greeted Xingqiu.
"Good evening"
Xingqiu curtsied in response. Even though he had greeted people with curtsies many times, he still wasn't fully used to it.
"It's about time we head back home Chongyun, come on let's go"
Chongyun nodded to his father and then turned to Xingqiu. As Chongyun leaned in, Xingqiu could feel him breathing against his neck
"I'll come visit again either tomorrow or the day after"
He stood up straight and ruffled his own hair with her hand
"I'll see you next time Princess, take care"
Chongyun bowed and Xingqiu gave him a curtsy as he and his family left the royal palace. Xingqiu sat beside his mother and her eyes gleamed with a sense of pride.
"I'm so proud of you my dear... You've found someone to love!!"
"Mother is it that obvious?"
She let out a small laugh and shook her head. Her hand reached out to brush through Xingqiu's long, silky hair before replying
"It's a mother's instinct. A mother always knows when their little girl get herself a boyfriend"
Xingqiu's cheeks burned and so did his ears
"Mother!"
He quickly got up and was about to leave when Xingchun came bursting in with a letter
"Mother Mother!! There's news from the Kamisato clan on behalf of the Princess, Kamisato Ayaka."
The King came out to see what was going on
"Xingchun, settle down and read it out for us please"
Xingqiu sat down and so did Xingchun. He skimmed through the neatly written letter and cleared his throat.
"To the Royal Families of Teyvat,
I, Kamisato Ayaka of the Kamisato clan invite you to attend the annual Royal festival in Inazuma. It will start at 6pm and end at around midnight next Friday.
The regulations are the same as previous years, you are to bring your significant other to the festival. If the children of your family are 16 years of age they will be required to attend as well.
I hope this invitation finds you well,
From Kamisato Ayaka, Princess of Inazuma"
Xingchun hands the letter over to his father and he reads it carefully.
"So Xingchun, you'll be bringing your boyfriend right?"
"Yes Father"
Xingqiu didn't hear anything around him. He had completely forgot that he would have to bring Chongyun to the festival. So much for trying to hide the relationship for a while...
"Xingqiu! You're gonna bring Chongyun right?"
Xingqiu looked up at his older brother and nodded
"Mhmm, I need to tell him tomorrow"
"AHA! So my suspicions were correct, you are dating!!"
Xingqiu blushed but quickly cleared his throat to try and hide it
"Xingchun, don't bully your sister too much. After all, it's good that she has a partner."
"Mm, of course of course..."
Xingqiu looked down at his hands and balled them into fists. He gazed up at the ceiling as he thought about all the problems that could arise...

I've just been trying to balance my work and free time but it's not going well T-T
