THE NEXT DAY

"anytime, have a good time suffering in school chae! '

Chaeyoung walked out the car and noticed taehyung and jungkook just about outside the school gate, she wanted to approach them but she was still on and off about her thoughts from last night

"isn't that chaeng? YO PARK CHAE- young? " she walked pass the two just like that, as if she didn't even see them

Jungkook was positive they locked eyes just now but somehow she didn't stop neither did she look at the two

"she's acting weird today" he said
"at least now you won't have anyone bothering you tae"

The two then walked in the school building together, it was usual for them to catch people's attention but it was unusual to see chaeyoung not with them

They arrived at the classroom and noticed chaeyoung casually talking to jimin, unlike her actions she did to the two, she didn't ignore jimin

"chae did you just ignore taehyung at the front gate" jungkook questioned as he took a seat beside jimin

"oh really? I didn't see you guys there though, i mean-" just then she received a text message

"wait hold on"

She picked up her phone and saw an anonymous number trying to send a text

AM = hey rosie? you there?
AM = hello??

ME = em, who is this?

AM = YAH! IT'S YOUR JAEHYUN MAN, JEFFREY!

"WHAT?!? " she screamed out of shock as soon as she knew the identity of the person who was texting

Jung Jaehyun, a korean-american just like chaeyoung or Roseanne Park

"why? Who is it? " jimin who was shocked by chaeyoung's scream asked

"oh n-no one heh" she lied

She continued texting the person, the others found it weird as she would usually have random conversations with them and it was more weird as she didn't even look at taehyung

She kept texting him back and forth, sometimes even laughing and smiling at her phone screen, what kind of person was this jaehyun to make chaeyoung smile just like she smiles at taehyung

Time passes and it was recess, chaeyoung off-ed her phone and went with the others, locking arms with taehyung, it looked like she was back to her usual self

Of course until she suddenly let go of his arms and checked her phone as soon as she received a notification

The whole group stopped walking and looked at chaeyoung who was still on her phone and not melting on taehyung like she usually do

"oh did i keep you guys waiting? sorry haha" she said as she walked with them again just not beside taehyung

Time passed again and it was the end of school for the day, she looked at her phone lesser than she did this morning but she still was invested and focused on the conversation she was having with Jaehyun

They all went to a coffee shop, all eight of them, they talked a bit but what was really weird was how chaeyoung didn't talk much and was constantly on her phone

"tell me chaeyoung, who is it that you're texting so focused on that you even forgot to leech on taehyung here" namjoon asked, even he realized how awkward she was acting

"oh, a friend from Australia, he said he's coming to korea for a vacation and asked if i could lend him a room in my apartment for a while" she explained

"oh, it's a he huh, looks like you're going to be having a rivalry tae, better be sharp" jin nudged the man beside him as tae replied, nothing

It obviously dissapointed the others as they expected more words from taehyung, this wasn't just a blind date like she used to go to, this was her and a guy who they do not know and their relationship that seemed so important to their chaeyoung

"can i go now? since we don't have any practice today" she asked, it was still early but there wasn't any reason for her to stay but a lot reasons for her to leave

"oh yeah sure i guess" as soon as namjoon said his words, allowing her to go back, she immediately excused herself and went out the café with a huge smile on her face

"wah, how great is this guy that he made our chaeng smile so widely just by some texts" jimin stated as he took a sip of his drink

"what are you going to do about it tae? you're going to just let her be?" he continued

"what else am i supposed to do? kidnap the man and threaten him to never text her again? " taehyung replied half heartedly

"idk man, but you might really lose her man, stay sharp or she'll walk into that guy's arm just like that" yoongi said as he stared at taehyung

"you better make your move before you lose her" hoseok supported

Taehyung looked and acted like he didn't care, as if the image of her acting like she usually does with him was okay but deep down he was also disturbed

When she ignored him this morning, he felt so shocked he bought down the hand that was about to wave at her, when she was texting this guy he doesn't really know he kept asking himself who that guy was, what was him to chae, was he that important to chae and when she let go of his arms he felt something was missing, he was so used with the feeling of something around his hand and unconsciously stopped walking and let out his hand for chaeyoung to hold it back but pulled his hand back when he saw her smiling yet again

What was it, what is this emotion he's feeling, he wanted to ignore it but he can't, but he decided not to show it

If he could only gather up his emotions and actually ask her straight forwardly, would he feel this way?

Then reality hit him, they weren't even in a relationship, why would or should he care right? he doesn't like her, why would he worry about who she's texting

But something inside him keeps on saying he should ask her, he should talk to her more than she talk to him, something deep inside was making orders to make a move

But he won't, he would never
Because he's Kim Taehyung

He's always being chased, not the other way around
