Julie's pov

"Hey underachiever" my best friend flynn said

"Hey disappointment" I said back to her smiling

Me and flynn have been best friends for ever. A year ago my mom died, I stopped playing music and now it just feels like everybody is just waiting for me to crack

"Okay I know you don't want me to ask you but have you figured out what your going to do today?" Flynn asked me

"I'll know in the moment" I simply said

"Really jules that's all your giving me?" Flynn complained "Mrs Harrison this is your last chance"

"I know I was there" I said back to her

"See you at the rally!" Carrie said.

Carrie was my old best friend but she dropped me and flynn because of my lack of playing music

"Ugh what is she handing out" flynn said clearly annoyed by the old best friend

"Desperation" I said

"Here you go. my groups performing at the spirit rally tomorrow" Carrie said walking over to us "in sure you guys have nothing better to do"

"Oh my gosh Carrie thanks" flynn said very sarcastically

"Oh my god flynn don't bother coming" Carrie said rudely back to her

Flynn frowned then scrunched up her flyer

"Nick?" Flynn said noticing the stare I had on the boy "still? You know they're going to get married and have a bunch of unholy babies"

"Nicks a sweetheart" I said defending him

"Yeah you'd actually know that if you spoke to him to know that. And only one of them has to be a demon to make a demon baby. Demon!!" Flynn rambled on about demons then shouted to Carrie and turned around almost immediately.

"There's that smile. Now let's go prove everybody wrong" flynn said

As nick plays his guitar everybody that i know had fake smiles on there faces

"Very good nick almost as good as your game against glendail" Mrs Harrison said clapping her hands "And last but not least julie"

I looked up from my hands and looked at her I didn't want to do it but I had to. I'm not ready. I stood up and walked over to the piano that was in the middle of the room, sat down and tried to find that part of me that wanted to play but I can't. I stood up and ran out of the saying sorry to Mrs Harrison

The last thing I heard was flynn telling Carrie to watch it

"Oh good your home" dad said walking down the stairs "I was about to go watch your brother's game I've had photo shoots all day didn't even get a chance to eat. But..I got a phone call today"

"Yeah I figured as much" I said taking off my glasses

"Yeah well it was my realtor friend" dad said

"Oh that" I said

"Yeah and she says if we are serious about selling the house then she wants me to take some pictures for the website. Which means we have a lot of cleaning to do and get rid of some stuff, and maybe you can tackle mom's studio. Your the expertyour brother and I with not even know where to begin" Dad said " it's okay honey. If your not ready i–"

"No ill do it" I said

"Yeah awesome mija thank you" dad said with a clap of his hands "Oh and don't forget the loft you know those old instruments that were there when we moved in? They need a new home"
