Chapter 17

Lisa is shocked as she stays still, unmoving. Both of them are standing there. The silence between them makes the atmosphere turns awkward.

Mingyu looks at her eyes and rubs his head. He tries to be composed, he asks, "Why aren't you talking?"

Lisa just says "ah", as she is at a loss of words.

She has never been confessed to, by anyone but she usually stuffs romance books on her drawer.

"Ay." Lisa immediately makes a hypothesis and suddenly feels curious. "Do you remember the time you knocked out my teeth?"

"...." Mingyu regrets it but he has indeed done it. He tries to explain himself, "It's been years ago, didn't I get a fracture too?"

Lisa doesn't bear any grudge. "Right."

She doesn't know how to be tactful, so she just behaves frank, "It's better for you to not like me, I don't like someone that is younger than me."

Mingyu pauses and suddenly turns furious, "You shouldn't discriminate someone because of their age!"

"......"

"You should tell me a bit so I can change?"

Lisa thinks about it. "I like someone that is handsome."

"....." Mingyu takes a deep breath and points at her, "Except you, no one thinks that I'm ugly? Are you attacking me?"

"It's just....." Lisa drags, "Everyone has different taste of aesthetic."

Mingyu feels wronged, "Perhaps I should do plastic surgery?!"

"I don't mean that way." Lisa feels wronged because of his roar, she says, "So I said to you to not like me?"

"Alright." Mingyu gives up in chatting with her, "Just think that I didn't talk to you."

Looking at his bad mood, Lisa starts to regret whether her words are too much. She asks boldly, "What do you like from me?"

Mingyu looks at her and says, "You are pretty."

"Oh."

"That's it? You'll just respond this way?"

"I have no way to refute."

"......."

Both of them are still standing in front of the escalator toward the third floor.

Mingyu suddenly becomes serious as he looks at her for a while and asks, "Are you not willing to date in an early age?"

Lisa nods. "It's part of my reason."

"You also dislike me to be young, and dislike me because I'm ugly." Mingyu pursues his lips and his eyes start to turn red. "Lisa, today is my birthday? Could you have rejected me in some other day?"

"......" Lisa is stupefied. "Are you crying?"

"Crying!" Mingyu feels embarrassed, he rubs his eyes and wants to say something else but he notices there's someone standing behind them.

He looks over.

Mingyu feels that man looks familiar.

But he couldn't make it out where did he meet this person.

Lisa notices something is wrong with Mingyu, she looks over confusedly and then recognizes that figure as Jungkook.

No one knows how long he has been standing there and watching them.

Looking at both of them, Jungkook raises his eyebrow and asks, "Am I disturbing you guys?"
