United They Stand, Divided They Fall

Rose had been living at the Avengers compound for about a year, Secretary Ross along with the government had granted both her and Bucky an official pardon for their crimes. The information that they had provided had helped in taking down a lot of Hydra's influences over the world. As a result of their pardon they were both ordered to have therapy sessions once a week. Bucky was especially unhappy about this, he wasn't one to talk about his feelings to just anyone.

Today was a particularly bad day for Rose, she'd had her therapy session in which she'd talked about Hydra and some of the things she had done. It had resulted in some flashbacks she would've rather not had. Deciding she wasn't in the mood to deal with other people she had driven to the beach and was sitting watching people having fun. Her phone had gone off a few times but she had decided to ignore it. If it was Bucky they would talk about things tonight, they had yet to tell everyone about their relationship. He still snuck into her room every night and made sure he was gone by the time the others woke in the morning.

As she was sitting on the beach she couldn't help but feel like she was being watched. After everything she'd been through she thought she was entitled to being slightly paranoid. A few hours later she looked at her phone, there was a lot of missed calls from Steve and Bucky. That was nothing unusual, when she took off they tended to get a bit worried. She couldn't help but notice the tension between the two of them lately and she had no idea what had caused it but they needed to figure it out before their next big mission.

Meanwhile back at the compound, Tony had called a team meeting, they had received information on the location where the other five Hydra super soldiers were being kept. "We know someone is trying to wake them up again, for what reason we are not sure." He pulled up a map on the screen and showed the others where the facility was. Bucky's eyes couldn't believe it, they were back in Siberia. Rose wasn't going to like going back there, it was where the two of them had been made into Hydra's best agents all them years ago. Looking at Tony, Bucky took a deep breath, "Siberia is where Rose and I were made. If someone is heading there, they know Hydra's deepest secrets. Taking the whole team into there would be a mistake Stark." Tony listens to Bucky tell them all about what he can remember about his time there.

Between them they come up with a plan to infiltrate the facility. Bucky, Steve, Tony and Rose would go, the others staying nearby on standby. As they leave the room Steve pulls Bucky aside, "are you going to be ok Buck?" He nods his head, "yeah I'm not sure about Rose though, her time there was worse than mine." Bucky had hardly spoken to Steve over the last few months. Steve had told Bucky how he felt about Rose, to say Bucky was unimpressed was an understatement. He'd been so angry he thought about telling Steve there and then that him and Rose had been seeing each other for months. Holding back had been the hardest thing in the world but the only person he would've hurt would've been Rose, and that was something he was trying his hardest not to do.

As Rose walked back into the compound she could tell something was going on, everyone was in a sombre mood. Even Nat was just sat not saying anything. She went in search for Tony, they'd had a rocky start but he'd soon become on of her closest friends. He always spoke the truth and didn't sugar coat anything, he reminded her a lot of his Dad which annoyed Tony a lot. Walking into his lab she sees him sat working on something. "Someone want to explain why everyone looks like someone died in the few hours I was out?" Tony lifts his head up and gives her a small smile. "Oh hey trouble, where were you? You missed the mission briefing."
"I did? Sorry Stark Junior, went to the beach for some space. Therapy was a bit of a bitch today." She looks at the way his face scrunches up at the nickname for him.
"How many times? I hate that nickname and you know it. Anyway we found the other super soldiers, we leave for Siberia in the morning." At the mention of Siberia Rose goes pale and she falls back on to a chair. Tony comes rushing over but he can't get through to her.
