Best Friends - Till the end of the line

You better run doll

The next few days passed by in a blur and before they knew it, it was their last night. As they walked into the cute little bar that Rose had spotted the day before, Bucky looked at her with a raised eyebrow. There weren't many people, tables scattered about in the dim lights. It was cosy and at the far end there was a stage for people to sing karaoke on. That was what had led Rose to drag him here in the first place. Rose placed a kiss on his cheek and they went to get a drink. 

As Bucky ordered their drinks and found them a table, he watched Rose with a smile. She had that gleam in her eyes that told him, she was up to no good. "Doll?" He looked over to her with a smirk on his face. "Why are we spending our last night in a karaoke bar?" 
Taking a sip of the sweet red drink that he had ordered her, she smiled back at him. Getting up from her seat, she watched the confusion spread over his face. "You'll see." She smirked at him before skipping up to the stage. She tried to hide her nerves, hoping Bucky will see the funny side to the song she'd written just for him. After loading up the instrumental track on her phone, she passed it to the man on the stage. 

Bucky watched as she walked up to the microphone, her eyes instantly finding his. He watched her as she closed her eyes, shutting everyone out. Then the song kicked in and his jaw nearly dropped to the floor. 

As the song reached the chorus she opened her eyes, getting into the rhythm. 

"I am a soldier,
Metal on my shoulder,
I keep my composure.

My past a mystery,
Torture and electricity.

Hydra stole my history,
You can erase my mind but I'll still try to be me.

Cause I've still got a buddy here left in Steve." 

Rose could see Bucky walking towards the stage, attempting to hold back a smile at her little stunt. She quickly grabbed her phone and ran off the stage laughing. Bucky watched her bolt out the bar and he couldn't help but laugh. "You better run doll." He said before running after her. 

It didn't take him long to find her, she was on the beach, feet in the water as she looked up at the stars. He watched the way her hair fell down around her shoulders, the moonlight beaming down on her like her own personal spotlight. He wasn't even mad about the song, she enjoyed winding him up and he liked her doing it. Walking up to her, he wrapped his arms around her waist as she stood behind him. 

"So how much trouble am I in?" She looked over her shoulder at him. Shaking his head he placed a soft kiss against her lips. "We'll see how forgiving I feel when we get back to the hotel." She sighed and and shivered, the slight nip in the evening air making her regret the decision not to bring a jacket out that night. Bucky pulls away just for a moment, slipping off his leather jacket he holds it out for her to step into. "Forever my gentleman." Rose smiles as she puts her arms through it. The scent of Bucky's cologne invading her senses. She hums with happiness. 

"You might not think the same thing by the time morning comes around doll." He whispers in her ear before placing his lips against hers. The kiss started off soft and slow, but as his hands found her hips, he pulled her closer to him. When his hand found her ass, he gripped it hard enough to leave a bruise, causing Rose to whimper into his mouth. 

One moment they were kissing, the next he threw her over his shoulder. "Ahh!" Rose squeaks out in surprise. Not wanting to waste another second Bucky begins walking them back to their hotel, ignoring the looks from people they walked past. Rose blushed a deep red as people watched them. "Buck, I can walk you know."
He slapped her backside, leaving a sting behind. "This is quicker." He mumbled as they finally reached their room. Sliding the key in and pushing the door open. He kicked it shut behind him, not putting her down until they got to the bed. 

Rose looked up at him, gulping at the hooded look in his eyes. She knew he was about to get payback for her little idea in the bar, but she could not be more excited about it.

The next morning, Tony sent his private plane to pick them up. As they settled in for the long flight, Rose laid her head on Bucky's shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. 
"I don't want to go home." Rose admitted out loud, she'd enjoyed having Bucky all to herself a bit too much. Sure she missed their friends but living in their little bubble had been a bit too nice. 
Bucky placed a kiss on the top of her head. "Me neither. You're also on a karaoke ban, I find you've gone out with Tony and they'll be hell to pay." He teased her. 
Rose looked up at him with the most innocent look she could muster. "I wrote a whole song for you. You should be flattered, besides I think you made your point last night." She raised her eyebrow at him causing Bucky to chuckle. His eyes darkening as he remembered all the times he'd made her beg during the night. 
"Don't give me that look!" She knows exactly what he's thinking about and where it will lead. Bucky shakes his head, attempting to clear away the thoughts. They don't go far, just far enough that he isn't now thinking of burying himself inside her. Again. 

"It's a good job I love you doll." Placing a soft kiss on her lips, showing her he wasn't really mad for what she'd done. He never was, he loved seeing her so carefree and happy. 
"I love you too. Still want to marry me?" She looks up at him, the insecurity in her voice, reminded him of how she was before the serum. When she never believed she was worth anything, it broke his heart that the insecurities were still there, even after everything the had been through. 

He picked her up and placed her on his lap, making sure to keep eye contact with her as he spoke softly to her. "Of course I do, I've never wanted anything more. You're my world my beautiful Rosaline." The way her full name rolled off his tongue sent shivers down her spine and a wide grin appeared on her face. Bucky pulled her closer to him and began kissing his way up her neck, softly at first. When he got to the pulse point on her neck he bit down slightly causing her to gasp. "I'll show you exactly how much I want to marry you when we get home doll." 

Rose gulped at his promise. "FRIDAY? How long until we land?" She asked with a smile, her eyes not leaving Bucky's for a second. 

"2 hours Miss Carter." 

Before the AI had even finished her response, Bucky was up and carrying her to the bedroom on the back of the plane. The walk only took 2 seconds, Bucky using large strides to get them there quicker. They didn't talk for the rest of the flight, opting to use their mouths for other fun activities instead.
