THE AIR WAS thick and heavy, and Luca wasn't sure if it was because of his bruised ribs, or because of the events that happened just minutes before.
Noah sat quietly in the passenger seat. His shoulders were slumped and rise whenever he let out a soft scoff or deep breathe. He hadn't said anything since Luca pulled away from Brandy's mansion and onto the dirt path road. Luca was worried that Noah would shut himself down and take this as something he should keep inside. He wanted to make sure Noah felt protected and know nothing was his fault.
"How are you feeling?"
Luca don't want to push him, but he also didn't want Noah closing himself off and keeping everything inside. Something like this needed to be talked about, especially since Noah was deeply affected by it.
"I-I'm fine." he stuttered, crossing his arms across his chest to hide his shaking hands. He eyed Luca's body, his eyes zoning into his left arm that's as wrapped around his torso. "What about you?"
"Let's not worry about me." Luca deflected as he turned up the heat on Noah's seat.
He needed to ask him the most traumatic question that could send Noah into a panic attack, but Luca needed to make sure Brandy's didn't do anything to him. If he did, he'd gladly drop Noah off home and head straight to the police station. He wasn't going to let him go jail free for taunting another pure soul-Noah didn't deserve any of this. No one deserved what Brandy did to them-but of course to Brandy that's all they did deserve.
"Noah I need to ask you some thing serious." Luca twisted his neck as he held onto the steering wheel tighter. Noah nodded his head slowly, urging Luca to continue on. "Did he do anything to you?"
"No." He softly answered. "He was just touchy and dying inappropriate stuff before I asked to go to the bathroom."
Luca winced, clenching his jaw as he continued down the dirt path. Noah could've ended up just like he did. Brandy was still hurting people. He was getting lazy because he thought no one would speak out because he was this powerful god in Hollywood. Brandy Manning was continuing to hurt people and manipulate to his advice because that's what the devil did-he hurt people over and over again until he found his next victim.
Noah was his next big star. When he looked at Luca he saw a dying star that was taking his last dying breathe, while Noah was the fresh new money wave that was going to brings millions into another generation. Brandy didn't see people, he saw dollar signs and targets.
Luca inhaled and exhaled slowly. His beating heart was racing rapidly, but Luca was slowly calming himself down before he had an attack. "I'm so sorry, Noah."
Noah looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. "You don't have anything to be sorry for."
"But I do," Luca admitted frowning. "I gave you my number in fear he'd do what he did to his other musicians again."
It was a sick doing, but Luca wasn't going to let Noah not have anyone to call. He knew not telling him about Brandy was keeping him in the dark, but he knew if he had to worry about Brandy, Brandy would still go with his plan but make it ten times worse. Luca had hoped it wouldn't of been Noah and Brandy attention was on anyone but Noah and Amina. Luca has hoped after he found out what happened between Bella and him he stopped his evil doings-but he continued.
"What he did to you?"
"Yeah," he admitted with a soft nod. "What he did to me."
Noah looked at Luca who turned into a neighborhood. Noah has put in his address in his phone, and Luca looked down at the device to distract himself
From turning back to Brandy's mansion and beating him with a crowbar. "It's not your fault."
