Miyake is currently hiding behind a tree observing Shin as he is sneaking up on two chickens, and in an instant, as he silently kills them with wind magic.
"Good job, Shin."
"Thanks, Miyake." Miyake compliments Shin as they share a high five
"I think we caught enough food, for now, want to head back?" Miyake asks
"Sure, let's go back grandpa is waiting"
Miyake and Shin are both 8 years old and were friends before they even began their current life, yes, as weird as it sounds they both have been reincarnated into this new world.
They were scientists in their previous life, and after being hit by a van, they were brought into this new world. They still have knowledge of their previous life but don't feel a connection with it since their life there was pretty simple one, they would wake up, work till late hours and go home. Now they have been brought into this new world where magic exists.
"Grandpa we're home!" the two boys happily yell
"Welcome back, Shin, Miyake. So what have you caught, I hope you didn't overdo it like you sometimes do." Grandpa Merlin responds while wearing a gentle smile

Shin and Miyake activate their 'Alternative Dimension Storage Magic', a boar and 3 chickens fall onto the ground
"Ho-ho so you caught a boar and 3 chickens good job, you even used wind blade slashes" Grandpa praises them while patting their heads
"Wind blade slashes are a good way to hunt since it doesn't damage the meat and it doesn't make a sound" Shin responds while wearing a proud smirk on his face
"That is certainly correct, as a test to see how your training is going can you boys light that pile of wood on fire for me and?" Merlin requests
"Sure/No problem" The two boys respond happily
"In this world, you only need to visualize the magic you are casting, luckily we don't have to chant embarrassing lines, I remember in our old world fictional characters would do that, and thinking back on it that was really weird, " Miyake thinks to himself while preparing the spell
As instructed Miyake and Shin light up the pile of wood on fire
"Look it's Granny Melinda and Uncle Michel," Shin says with a little bit of excitement
