I'm leaving tonight, despite everyone was still here. I have tons of work to do at the studio.
My staffs have been nagging me, asking when am I coming back.
This trip may have changed my perspective on Rishi, but I'm still second guessing. I mean, yeah he's caring but there's something that nagging me.
I tried my best to mingle with everyone around the house. Rishi's parents have always been wonderful,
My parents were kinda proud of me but Rishi's mom kept giving me a cheeky smile whenever she sees me.
Rishi just vanished. I haven't seen him since lunch yesterday.
It was a 3 hour drive back to my place. So I had to leave before sunsets.
I put my bag on the bed, glancing at the bed where Rishi held me for the first time. I tied my hair in a bun, wearing a oversized tank top and skinny jeans.
I checked around, afraid that I might miss some things.
I heard a knock on the door and Rishi came in, with his hands inside his pockets.
"You're leaving?" He asked looking at me and I nodded, telling him that I had work to do back at the studio.
We stood awkwardly, not knowing what to say.
"I should leave now, before the sunsets. It's a 3 hour drive." I said taking my bag and he came closer, looking at me.
If he hugs me, I'm a dead meat. I'm done.
I'll fall head over heels for him. I can feel it in my bones.
And he did.
He grabbed my arm, pulling me closer and wrapped his muscular arms around me. I froze in his warmth and I can hear his heart thumping loudly.
I might as well just wing it since I know that we won't meet me again until the wedding.
I slowly leaned in, wrapping my arms around his torso. He's much taller and bigger than me, I'm just until his shoulders.
We stayed in each other's embrace for a while until I gently let go. Those brown eyes were looking at me with weird emotions and he gently stroked my cheek.
I smiled at him, probably the first time I ever smiled at him genuinely.
I pulled away, taking my bag in my hand and walked downstairs, leaving him behind.
Everyone hugged me and bid me goodbye. My dad was pressing me to drive properly and I rolled my eyes playfully, nodding at him.
They all waved at me from the door and I waved back, watching them going inside.
I threw my bag at the back seat and startled when Rishi was standing behind me.
"You scared me!" I said rubbing my chest and he cracked a tiny smile.
"I brought you these and call me when you reach your place." He said handing me a small paper bag. I looked back at him and nodded my head.
"Thank you." I said smiling at him and I got in the car. He knocked on the window and I raised my eyebrow at him.
He pulled my face lightly and kissed me on my cheek, making my eyes go wide.
This feels familiar.
"Take care and Rhea?" I turned around when he called my name. He never did. He always grunts and groan around me.
"Hm?"
"I swear I never did this to any other girls." He smirked, showing his dimple. I looked at him, thinking I've heard this somewhere.
My eyes went wide remembering everything. I remembered the question I asked him, nuzzling to him when I should've kicked him out the room.
I thought it was a dream! He actually slept beside me, patting my back.
"Stupid, stupid period me." I mumbled closing the window and he waved goodbye, with a smirk.
My face was burning with embarrassment and I glanced at him in the side mirror, still standing with his hands inside his pockets.
I smiled by myself and bursting out in laughter, thinking what the damn hell happened to me.
I got home precisely after 3 hours. I parked my car and got into my apartment. I threw myself on the bed and sprawled like a starfish.
I might've dozed off after that because I had at least 5 missed calls from my parents. My phone rang again and I picked it, answering sleepily.
"Hm?" I mumbled trying to open my eyes.
"We told you to call us as soon as you got back home! We were worried." My mom kinda yelled through the phone.
"I'm fine. I dozed off as soon as I came back. I'm tired." I mumbled and hung up.
My phone rang again and I groaned picking it up,
"What? I'm tired mom. I have work tomorrow." I mumbled sleepily.
"Glad you got home safe." It was Rishi. He called me, not my mom. I wasn't talking to my mom. I jolted my eyes open in surprise.
"You must be sleepy. Take care." He said softly and hung up. I stared at my phone.
Did he just check I got home safe? He never did that.
