This poem might not be what you're expecting, but I promise to write one about my skin color and where I'm from. Shout out to pilaku21, we should be friends. Enjoy.

To my heart there was a ladder
In order to keep people at bay
And at the edge there was bale of hay

You were still able to go further
And I had nothing to say
It happened just in a day

I had to abdicate in your favor
Leaving the throne of my heart
So you could be made mayor

Even after my renunciation
You still broke down those walls
And my brain went on vacation

My euphoric mood could not last
You brought pain with the happiness
It happened way too fast

I guess that was my penalty
For giving out my heart
To such cruelty

Sometimes I feel cruddy
Then I banish the thought
But still I doubt

I painted myself black
But you held the brush
There was no need to rush

I loved seclusion
But you took that away
And led me astray

Now I'm at the center of nowhere
Looking for my heart
I've searched everywhere

Then I realised I gave it up!

Please, please and please comment. I'm starting to feel like I'm updating trash, lol I hope I'm not.
                                                   Much love,
