Ameliorate // twilight (UNDER MAJOR EDITING)

I was sitting across from dad who was getting his gun ready for hunting I was reading my book and making small talk
When Bella came into the room with a beer for dad she set it down on the table
"I got you another one" Bella said
"Oh thanks" dad thanks nodding at her in appreciation
"I have a date with Edward Cullen" she said
I put the book down quickly and looked between the two
"This suddenly got interesting" I said now watching them intensely dad looked over at Bella ignoring me

"He's a little old for you isn't he" Dad said
Bella looked down at the table picking at the wood
"No, he's a junior, I'm a junior" Bella defended and shook her head
"I thought you liked the Cullens?" Bella asked

Dad looked over at her for a second then looked back at his gun
"I thought you didn't like any of the boys in town" dad asked avoiding her question
I gave bella a look of amusement.
She shot me a glare
"Edward doesn't live in town technically"
She reasoned
Dad looked at her with a look of  fake astonishment and rolled his eyes just as he was about to say something Bella stopped him
"Look, he's right outside" Bella said
Charlie looked at the door in dread
"He is?" He asked  glancing at Bella probably hoping she was bluffing

I glanced at the door and Edward was looking in through the glass at the top
He looked at me and I gave him a look that said "weirdo" and shook my head he abruptly walked away from the glass
Probably in embarrassment

"Yeah he, officially wanted to meet you"
Bella said dad glanced at her and sighed
"Alright" he started then cocked his gun "bring him in" Bella shook her head "could you be nice, he's important. That means you two violet " Bella pleaded and rushed to the door

I smirked this was going to be amusing
Dad gave me a look that said
"I don't wanna do this"

Dad and I walked to the entrance of the dining room to greet Edward
"chief swan" he greeted dad
he glanced over at me for a second before returning his focus on my father
"I want to formally introduce myself, I'm Edward Cullen" Edward said then shook his hand
"Bella won't be out too late tonight, she's just gonna be playing baseball with my family" he stated truthfully
I narrowed my eyes
"She better not be or you going to be hearing from me" I said trying to be as intimidating as a 5'3 15 year old girl can be to a 6'2 seventeen year old male Bella rolled her eyes and Edward was trying not to snicker 
"It's best to ignore her that what I do" she said teasingly flipped her off to where only she could see

"Base ball?" Dad questioned
Edward straightened his posture turning serious one again
"Yes sir that was the plan"Edward said confirming dads statement

He chuckled
"Bella gonna play base ball" he said amazed looking over at her she nodded and smiled then looked back up at Edward I could tell they were in love
"We'll good luck with that" dad said smirking and scratching the back of his neck
"I'll take good care of her, I promise" he said reassuringly to my dad
"I'm not the one you should be worrying about" dad said jokingly referring to me
I shook my head
"You know I happen to have a knife I need to sharpen, you know just in case" I said walking off to the kitchen looking at Edward intensely he then nodded
"Understood" he said then walked away with Bella

Hi guys! Sorry for the short chapter. Also, don't expect regular updates for this book because I have a REALLY busy schedule with school and extracurricular activities I'm trying my best to edit and publish every chapter so I'm just giving you guys a heads up, anywho
