Chapter 2: Seems like hell

I walked through the portal and appear at the front of the house my father told me to stay in, I look over at Doyle and notice him walking towards the front door

"Are you coming in?"

"Oh, yes coming"

"Then hurry in, it's gonna rain soon," he says opening the door with a smile.

I walk in and place my luggage at the entrance. I started to look around so I can learn which room is which.

After a while I decided to go up the staircase to search my room, I went to the first door on the left and opened it, it was a bathroom which is not my room...I walked to the first door on the right and it was Doyle's room, I knew it was his instantly since....it was already a huge mess, I leave the room and close the door, I walk to the third door on the left and open it, finally...my room.

I walk in and jump immediately in my bed, this might be even more comfortable than my bed back home and the room is so big, there's a window right beside my bed and has an amazing vie AND I have a bathroom all for myself, I think I might have a quick nap and then unpacked my luggage that I just remembered I left at the entrance, I walk down the stairs quickly and grab my stuff, I go up back to my room and put my luggage beside my bed and lay down so I can sleep.

I wake up from my nap and walk into my bathroom, I started brushing my hair so I can put it up in a ponytail, my hair is long and very thick which can make it a pain in the ass sometimes but I'm pretty used to it. I grab a hair tie I left on my wrist from yesterday and put my hair in a low ponytail since I'm horrible at doing my own hair and a low ponytail is probably the easiest and the most simple hairstyle that I know of. I walk out of my room and look outside to see if it's still raining and unfortunately, it is, I wanted to check out some of the shops nearby but I don't think we have an umbrella, I should ask Doyle if maybe we have one, if not I guess I will wait for tomorrow morning since I'm only starting school in 4 days I have enough time to explore the town nearby

I walk down the stairs and see Doyle making food in the kitchen

"Doyle, do we have an umbrella somewhere in the house? I want to explore the town but its raining"

"No we don't but it should stop raining soon so either you can go tomorrow morning or wait till 8 pm when it's pitch black," he say with a quiet laugh

I roll my eyes "ill wait till tomorrow then" I say while leaving the kitchen and going up the stairs to my room.

Since it's already 6 pm I think I might change into some pyjamas and watch some shows I didn't get to finish until I fall asleep since I want to wake up early for tomorrow.

I walk into my bathroom, take out my low ponytail, I walk out and grab a pyjama top and bottom from my suitcase I left beside my bed, I close my bedroom door and change into my clothes then I lay down on my bed and open my laptop and watch some shows, I think I fell asleep around 9 pm, kinda early but still late

My alarm woke me up at 11 am and of course, I pressed snoozed...no one wants to wake up at 11 am on a Friday. it woke me up again after 10 minutes, I repeated the same routine for about 4 minutes until Doyle open my bedroom door and scream

"Just get up already!! I can hear your alarm all the way from the living room!"

"FINE, I'll get up!"

Doyle leaves my room and doesn't shut my door, it's one of the most annoying things ever, Doyle and I have known each other since we were kids, when he wasn't helping my father we would hang out like brothers and sisters, we also fight like brothers and sisters which you can see.

I got up from my bed and looked outside the window to see if it's still raining, fortunately, it stopped raining which means I can go to a nearby cafe I saw while checking online. I walk to my luggage and grab a sweater since it's still early in the morning and it can get cold and a pair of leggings, I walk to my bathroom and got dress, I decided to let my hair down and just brushed it for now but I did keep and extra elastic on my wrist just for in case, I walked to my luggage to get my makeup bag since I didn't want to seem like I was dead when going to the cafe, I took some concealer, mascara and put it on, I would usually put more but since I'm only getting coffee, I didn't need much.

I walk out of my bedroom and down the stairs, Doyle was already downstairs and watching tv obviously

"I'm going to a cafe, I'll be back soon," I say while putting on my shoes

"ok, just be careful and don't get lost"

"ill try my best," I say walking out the door and closing it while smiling

I already knew the way so I didn't need to call a taxi or anything, it's just less than 2 minutes away. After a minute and a half, I arrive at the cafe and open the door "this place looks really good for just a cafe" I thought to myself.

I stand near the counter and looked at the menu thinking about what I should order since they have a pretty small menu, I finally decide what to order so I walk up to the counter

"Can I have a vanilla latte please?"

"What size?"

"Just a small one"

"That will be 3.34$"

"Thank you," I say as I give the money needed to her

I waited close to the counter waiting for my coffee until suddenly

"You shouldn't have ordered that"

"why do you say that?" I say while still looking forward but also peaking from the corner of my eye.

"they don't add enough vanilla"

I roll my eyes and hear my order is ready

"vanilla late!"

"it's can't be that bad," I say while giving him a quick look and walking over to the counter to grab my drink

I started walking out of the cafe and took a sip of my drink "he's right, not enough vanilla" I say in my thoughts. While on my way home I get a text from Doyle

"I have to go back to the underworld, your father needs help"

"Ok, for how long?"

"For about 2 weeks, I'll be leaving tomorrow morning, will you be ok?"

"Ya, I'll be fine, it's only for 2 weeks so it's not gonna be long"

"Good, I'll see you at the house"

"See ya"

I closed my phone and enjoyed the rest of the walk, I arrived at the house and opened the door, I couldn't find Doyle downstairs so he's probably already packing, I put my empty cup in the trash and went up the stairs since it was only noon, I decided to unpack my things, I started with my clothes by putting them in separate draws, I then started to unpack bathroom items as in like toothbrush, makeup, hair products, shower products and more, I'm not an organized person but when it comes to unpacking, everything has to be perfect so I can mess it up later in the day. By the time I was done unpacking, it was already 2 pm, time goes by fast when you are not paying attention. since it was already 2 pm, I decide to make myself something to eat, I walk down to the kitchen and open the fridge "there's barely anything in here...". With the ingredients left, I manage to make myself a grilled cheese and it was very delicious, I put my plate in the sink and made the dishes after that was done I went up to my room and went on my laptop for the next 4 hours. It was already 6 pm so I decided to get ready for bed, I took a quick shower, brushed my hair and teeth, took some pyjamas from my drawers and went to lie in my bed, I fell asleep around 11 pm. There are only 2 days before I start school here so I should probably start waking up early to get used to it.
