I was walking down the market with willow and luz when I heard some adults talking about how there were children fighting, wait what if it's someone from our year I need to see this. "Guys let's go see!!" I yell out. "Only if we help these people" said luz "yeah, what if they get hurt?" Willow says. They're always about helping people and not seeing what's actually going on i on the other hand don't care about that. I grab both their hands and run towards where the adults are yelling. I see a big crowd and let go of their hands, just to get to the front of the circle. I then see who is fighting. They aren't using magic, they're doing a fist fight. And oh my god do they look good fighting. I try to calm the heat rising to my face, mattholomule is fighting some kid, the kid looks like they're winning, that's not good. then mattholomule looks over to see me staring at him and gets hit in the nose. I run in and pick him up trying to hold him and look at the kid. "Who punched first" I say to them, neither of them answer. "I'm being serious here who did it" I say again. "I did and I dont regret it at all" the kid says with an eye roll and goes in for another punch. I quickly push him to the ground (😭 sorry this is so funny to me idk why) and run off with mattholomule in my hands. I start walking and go to my house to Clean his nose up, all while mattholomule is really red in my hands. I'm carrying him bridal style that's probably why.
Once we get into my house I go into my room and place him on my bed sitting up. He hasn't said a word since I stopped the fight. I come back into the room with a cloth and a bowl, i come back with a tissues and start to clean the wound, "so why where you fighting" I say to break the silence. He starts blushing a little and seems to stumble "it's ok I won't judge on what it is" I say to calm him down. "Ok but you can't make fun of me" he says, I wonder what it is that's making him like this. "Alright.. so he kinda said that illusionists were stupid, and for some dumb reason I got angry at him. Don't be weirded out though.." he says while blushing. My face and ears start to heat up "you were fighting... for me??" I say trying to look away. "Yeah in a friendly way though!" He says and then looks down realising he just said they were friends. "AWW you said we were friends." I say wondering if be actually meant it. I continue to. Clean the wound and then realise that my mom use to kiss the wounds whenever I got hurt, and it always made me feel better so I'll do it here.

Mattholomule's pov:
I feel my entire face go red, DID HE JUST KISS ME?! oh my titan I'm going to pass out "uh sorry I just thought- and" he starts while clearly blushing, I look at his lips and then at his eyes, then his lips again. I could've sworn he started to blush more. I decided to go for it. I grab his face and he looks at me like I'm crazy he probably thinks I'm going to hurt him, then felt a warm pressure on my lips. His eyes widen and then his whole face goes red, I pull back. "IM SORRY! I DIDNT MEAN TO DO THAT!!!" I yell and then stand up to leave. "No! it was cute.." he says quickly. I look back at him "really?" I say not believing what he just said. "Yep." He says embarrassed. "Umm.. want to go out with me?" I say stuttering. He then walks up to me and kisses my cheek. "Of course" he says and holds my hand.
I SWEAR THE NEXT CHAPTER IS WAY BETTER THAN THIS! Lol they go out end of the first story. 🥸
