DRACO

~~~
WHEN Y/N said yes to running away with me, I never knew I'd me more happier than when I had her in my arms, whispering sweet nothings to her ear.
It felt surreal. I saw a new light, one that I never want to turn off ever again. She was back in my life, and I want her right here beside me at all times. Call me selfish, but she's all that I have.
"Ready?" I asked her, peeking at her bedroom door. I saw her just closing up her backpack.
She stood up from the floor and gave me a smile. A smile I missed so much I never want to lose it again. She took my hand in her soft ones, squeezing it reassuringly.
"Always," she told me.
We walked out to her living room, and she took one last look of her flat, a hint of sadness in her eyes. But I gave her a soft smile, which she returned.
And with that, I apparated us out of there, my mind picturing clearly where I want to bring her. I'll bring her somewhere she'll like. Somewhere close to me. Somewhere I've been hiding.
When we opened our eyes, we were in the woods.
Y/N looked confused, as I expected. But before she could ask, I beat her to it, "I want to show you something," I told her.
Nevertheless a bit hesitant, she didn't let go of my hand. I slowly guided her through the trees, walking my way towards our destination.
And after a little bit of walking, we finally made it. In front of us stood a cabin. It was so deep into the woods, no one has found me. At least, not yet, and I hope they won't ever.
I glanced at Y/N, and I saw her lips twitch to a smile, and I just couldn't help but smile, too.
She has no idea how in love I am with her.
"It's beautiful," she sighed out, her eyes turning towards the lake behind the cabin, "There's a lake, too! Draco- how did you find this place?" She asked, facing me.
"I'll tell you inside," I finally dragged her in the cabin. It wasn't very big, only big enough for two people. But it has everything it needs, a bathroom, bedroom, a small fireplace by the living room, and a kitchen, "Welcome to my home for the past few months," I spread my arms, showing her around. When I looked back at her, she was only staring at me in awe, and I couldn't believe I'm saying this, but my cheeks burned up, "My mother used to take me here when I was younger. To take a breather and be one with nature, she said."
Y/N walked towards me, wrapping her arms around my waist, and her head just against my chest. I swear she could hear my heartbeat from there.
She looked up at me, "I wish I met her. This place truly is beautiful."
I tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, "So are you," her cheeks heat up at my words, making me chuckle, "I wish you met her, too. She would've loved you.." I trailed off, my sadness rising up again, but I managed to shrug it off. "I'm glad you liked the place."
"Like is an understatement," she laughed, pulling away, but nevertheless took my hands in hers, "However, I do have a request."
My eyes never left hers, "Anything, my love," I told her, and it was true. I was ready to give her anything in my power. I could give her anything if I wanted to. And I did.
"Can we swim in the lake?"
I could only nod gladly.
"Oh, don't be a wuss!"
It was around four in the afternoon when Y/N and I walked out of my cabin to swim in the lake, but I just realized how cold it was, considering it was mid-November. Y/N was already in the water, splashing around like a little kid in her very minimal clothing.
I have no idea how my face heats up to see her skin. It was only skin, besides, I've already explored every inch of her. What was there to be embarrassed about? I know she's a Goddess, no one could doubt that.
"I'm not a wuss," I hissed, my feet barely hitting the cold water, but when she swam towards me, the water waved over to my toes, making me step back, "Salazar, it's cold! You might get sick!"
But she only chuckled, "I'm not worried! I've got you to take care of me!"
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her stubbornness. There was no way to get her out of the water, so I might as well join her.
My hands made it to the hem of my shirt, and finally, I took it off, cold air hitting my skin. Slowly, I walked towards the deeper water, Y/N swimming backwards only to laugh at me as I wince at the cold lake hitting my skin, "If I get sick, I'm blaming you," I told her, shivering as I finally let my chest fall into the water.
Y/N laughed, "I'll take care of you. We'll take care of each other!" She exclaimed, swimming around.
As I swam towards her, it didn't feel too cold anymore. My body has finally adjusted to the cold, so it didn't feel so bad- it was rather refreshing, "I guess this isn't as bad as I thought," I mumbled, though I never meant for her to hear it.
But she did, "Told you so!" She exclaimed, just as I expected her to.
I let out a laugh, and tackled her, the two of us going underwater. I gave her a peck in the lips under the water, which she returned. We swam up above, laughs leaving our lips.
We don't care of someone sees us and think we were going crazy. We don't care if we're laughing about shallow thing. We're happy. That's all that matters.
I took her by the waist, my face only inches away from hers. Her eyes met mine, and I stared into them, looking right at her soul. She was beautiful. Inside and out.
"Can you promise me something?" It might be too much to ask, but I wanted to at least try.
She cupped my face in her small hands, "Anything, darling," she told me.
I didn't stop myself no longer.
"Promise me, whatever happens, you'll stay with me?" I paused, looking for a reaction, "You won't leave me? All alone?"
It was very selfish of me. But the idea of me going on with life all alone once again scared me. I never want to eat on my own again, or sleep without anyone by my side. I didn't want to be alone again.
When Y/N didn't answer, I thought she'd say no, and I couldn't help the flash of disappointment in my chest.
But she answered without a hint of hesitance.
"I'll follow you anywhere, and everywhere," she mumbled, her breath hovering over mine, "Even if it's six feet under."
Her words were the only reassurance I needed to keep going.
