rainy days are great days

I used to associate rain with pain.
I used to believe
No matter what I did
Everything was just in vain
And I was the only one to blame.
For very long, I've been told:

"Life is just
like a Waterfall
Sometimes you have
To let it flow
In order to see
something grow."

That day
I was stuck in your car
Drops of water falling hard
One by one
Still we stayed warm
Under our little red jar.

But that day
I was tired of being afraid of the rain
I went out of our old flask
Took off all my masks
And went with the flow
I let it go.

I chose to put my feet
in that field of weeds and trees.
I could sense the moisture rising.
Little drops of Rain on my skin
An impulse to my heart,
played like a violin.

That time
I became one with my element.
I let the Rain kiss me
Let it flow
In order to grow
Rather than waiting for all
to go away in a bowl.

Now clouds come floating into my reality
They still carry Thunder and Rain
But today I am free
To think
To love
To live
And can finally see
The Arc of Iris.
After all, rainy days are great days.
