Y/Ns pov

The next few weeks flew by which I spent every moment I could with Lizzie when she wasn't in work. I was at set quite frequently just so I could still be near her. It sure as hell going to be hard leaving. I still hadn't spoken to Jamie even though he's back at school. I kind of felt bad since it's my last weekend before deployment. So as I was laying in bed with Lizzie in my apartment. She had her head snuggled in my neck and her arms wrapped around me tightly like she was afraid to let go. We had both been spending some time with Dek and Amelia. She had become really good friends with Amelia which I was really happy about.

We were just going to spend this weekend just the two of us before I leave. I really wished that the last few weeks didn't end but shit happens. I was broken out of my thoughts when my phone started to ring. When I saw who was calling I groaned in irritation but answered it speaking as quietly as I could so I didn't wake lizzie up.

Y/N: what do you want

Jamie: I was just phoning to see if you wanted to do something before you go on Monday

Y/N: I can't, I'm spending it with Lizzie before I leave her

Jamie: Oh come on, you only just met her

Y/N: it's been 2 months Jamie. And we're gonna be apart for 3 months

I realised that I had spoke too loud as I felt Lizzie start to stare, she looked up at me with tired eyes and asked me " who is it baby"
" it's just Jamie love, he wants to do something this weekend before I go"
" we could always cook some dinner and invite him over tonight if that's what you want"
" are you sure? I don't want you to feel like you have to love"
"No its fine. It would be nice to meet him"
" Ok love, I'll let him know" I said before I rang him back.

Y/N: if you want to you can come to mine and have dinner with me and Lizzie. She really wants to meet you

Jamie: Yeah that would be great. What time do you want me to come over

Y/N: how about 7pm

Jamie: Yeah I'll see you then

After I had hung up, I looked at Lizzie to find her staring at me with a soft smile on her face.

"you ok love?" I ask her as I place a kiss to her head which makes her scrunch her nose.

"I am baby. I'm just happy that I've got to wake up next to these past few weeks." She said as she gave me a sweet kiss on the lips.

"don't worry love, I'll be home before you know it" I told her as i started to get some clothes on.

"so is he coming to dinner tonight" she asked as she followed me into the kitchen to start breakfast.

"Yeah he'll be here at 7" I told her as I started to make us both some bacon sandwiches.

"what time are you leaving on Monday?" She asked as she leant on the counter beside me.

"I've got to be at the base at 9am" I told her as I took the first lot of bacon out of the pan.

"well I'm going to take you. I want to at least see you off" she told me as she gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"you're saying it like I'm going to die" I said with a smirk.

"that's not funny. You could die while you're out there" she said with a serious tone.
