Chapter 62

Y/N pov

I was excited for today, we've got our doctors appointment this afternoon, and Colin and scarlett are coming over with Rose and I was finally going to get behind the wheel again. Where only going for a small drive taking baby steps. Slowly starting to get back to normal, well as normal as I can. I still have nightmares but there not as often as they were. I was cooking breakfast for Lizzie while she was tending to her garden.

"Perfect timing love, breakfast is ready." I told her as she was washing the soil off her hands.

"Thank you baby." She said as she gave me a kiss on the cheek while I just ate an apple. "Aren't you having any pancakes?" She asked as she dug in.

"No I'm not really hungry." I told her with a soft smile as I got her some water out of the fridge.

"Are you OK?" She asked me with worry in her eyes.

"Yeah I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me." I told her reassuringly.

"You would tell me if something was bothering you?" She asked me with a soft smile.

"Of course I would. I'm gonna go for a walk before Colin Scar and Rose come." I told her as I gave her a soft kiss.

"Please be careful." She said as I walked towards the door.

"I will. I love you." I shouted back to her.

"I love you too." She shouted back just as loud making me smile widely

As I was walking around, I hadn't realised how long I was out for. So when I turned around to go home I saw someone that I thought I would never see again.

"Jamie?" I said hoping that he would ignore me and just carry on walking which he didn't.

"Y/N, how've you been?" He asked as if nothing happened between us.

"As good as can be." I said bitterly.

"I heard you went MIA. I was so worried about you." He said with a sad smile.

"Then why wait until now to pop up. Lizzie told you when I was found and at the base, but you didn't bother to even come and see me once." I said before turning away.

"I went to your apartment." He said making me stop my movements.

"I haven't lived there in months, I sold it. Not like it's your business any way. So I'm going to get back to my fiancé." I said as I started my journey again.

"Fiancé, you're engaged now." He asked confused.

"Yes I am, and she makes me happy." I said with a soft smile thinking about Lizzie.

"Well you do know she will probably just leave you like the rest of them." He said harshly making me ball up my fists.

"You don't know what you're talking about. You walked out on me when I needed you the most and she was there to pick up the pieces you broke."  I shouted at him.

"Well you shouldn't spread lies about our dad." He shouted back.

"He's not my dad and he never was." I spat at him before I walked away to go home. As soon as I walked in the house I had all eyes on me.

"Hey baby are you OK?" Lizzie asked as she stood up. I just nodded before heading into the kitchen. I don't know how long I was in there for before Lizzie followed me. "What happened on your walk. You seem pissed off."

I explained to her everything that had happened in the conversation with Jamie. I was angry with him. I was angry at myself for even think that he would've changed just a little bit. It was my stupid naivety that got the better of me.
