The meeting

Everyone stood in the main living room. You entered it by peeking around the corner and walking in. Pat counted down from three.

"We are sorry for scaring you, Y/N." They all said in unison, including the Captain. You acted surprised and happy.

"Thank you all, I forgive you all." You replied, Pat walked up to you and patted your shoulder. You smiled at the small man.

"Me sorry for sniffin' you." The caveman told you, who you learnt was Robin. You smiled, there was so many people.

"Yes, that's quite enough apologising, thank you." You told them. You walk to sit on the couch, next to Captain. He made room for you and you sat right next to him.

"Hello, Y/N." He said, sending a chill down your spine as you were pushed closer to him when Kitty sat next to you, then Mary sat next to Kitty.

"This is a 2 seater couch." You mumbled to yourself, Captain laughed and put his arm on the back of the couch, basically around you which made you blush.

"Welcome to the family, Y/N." Pat told you, you smiled. A family. It sounded good in theory, but you barely knew these people. Alison was your closest friend, a living girl. All of the people who loved were gone, dead.

Captain was looking at you laugh at the others arguing. Julian and Robin having a debate on chess. He gave you the eyes that Julian had recognised anywhere. He saw him look at you and smirk.

"What you think?" Robin pointed at you, you had no idea what to say.

"Oh, I don't understand chess, never have." Robin gasped, acting dramatically offended. "Never had time for it really."

"I'll have to teach you sometime." Captain insisted, you looked at him and smiled.

"That'd be nice, better not boss me around, Sir." You smirked, he raised his eyebrow.

"I doubt he won't, that's what he's best at." Thomas remarked, catching everyone's attention.

"Mind elaborating on that, Thorne?" Captain stood up, so did Thomas. Captain put his arms behind his back and they walked towards eachother.

"You can't help but boss everyone around, you're not even the leader." He shouted, you stood up and bounced on your toes nervously.

"He has a point, Captain." Lady Button agreed. "Bossing everyone around in our own home." She told him sternly.

"You no leader, you bossy and adment." Robin meant to say adamant. But in a few moments, everyone was arguing with Captain, calling him bossy and a terrible leader. You tried to stop all the noise but couldn't.

"So you all think this?!" He asked furiously followed by agreement. "Well I guess there's no point of me even being here." He walked off to the front door, you stood there, baffled.

"That was a wonderful first day knowing each other wasnt it? Can you be quiet for two minutes?! Honestly, you have no respect for each other!" You scolded them. "I was perfectly fine down in that bunker." You whispered before following the Captain out of the door.

You walked to the lake that you'd been to with Philip all those years ago. You saw Captain sitting near the water, you sat next to him, not saying a word.

"Can't even give someone an ounce of respect." You spoke, kicking the water and it not moving, not feeling the cold in your uncomfortable boots. The Lake looked the exact same as before, just overgrown with plants and cattails.

"Glad you agree with me. Someone with some common sense." He said, still staring at the water, the bright sunlight reflected onto it while the water rippled. You'd swam in this water so many times, sneaking out of your room late at night.

You inched closer to the water, your clothes wouldn't be affected, so you jumped in. You looked at Cap and tried to get him into the lake desperately.

"Come on, Cap. Loosen up, you've only got until the end of eternity to have some fun." You said, he was still, thinking. "Catch me if you can." You winked, swimming away from him.

He jumped into the lake and began swimming after you. You weren't as fast as him, but you tried as hard as you could. You didn't need to breathe so that was handy.

You hit the side of dirt and swam underneath him, he quickly turned and tried to grab you. You eventually had to give in and swim up where he grabbed your legs.

When he came up, you both laughed together. You moved your hair out of your face and looked at the Captain. "I think I caught you."

"No, you couldn't do that!" You said sarcastically, he smiled at you. You heard a cough behind you.

"Y/N, the others are waiting for you." Alison said, you gave her a confused look.

"What for?" You asked, swimming towards the side of lake she was standing at. She looked at The Captain. You nodded. "I'll see you later." You turned around to him and swam towards him. As Alison started to walk away you brushed his hand under the water.

"Tell me everything they say."

"Oh, I will."
