The title translates into "The Gay Conversion Machine"

athazagoraphobia (noun)                                                                                        the fear of forgetting, being forgotten, ignored, or being replaced

Two weeks had passed. Stefan  never hugged Benji again and didn't try to call him all those cute nicknames. Deep inside, Benji was aching for another moment like the ones they had before, but on the outside, they went along and played pretend- as if they didn't feel the sparks and the warmth. As if they were just friends.

But friends don't look at each other that way, and they both knew it.

And this little charade of friendship was about to end very, very soon. Because one day, after their tutoring session, Stefan went home and as soon as he entered, his mom and dad were standing over him with apprehensive expressions.

"Mom...?" Stefan asked hesitantly

"Stefan, dear, why don't you sit down?" His parents requested

"Ok.."

"So uh... We wanted to ask you if you were willing to uhh.."

"To what, dad?"

"To go... to school. Physically."

Stefan's entire world seemed to be going in slow motion.

"Go.... to... School?" Stefan muttered

"Yes, to school."

"I- can I- think over it? I'll- I'll tell you later!"  Stefan stumbled through his words.

"O-Okay, take as much time as you want, this is completely your decision to make"

Stefan nodded absently and quickly walked back up the stairs. Before he knew it, he was back to climbing out of his house and into an innocent Benji's room.

Benji, who had been reading a book, looked up as he heard the thud of feet on the carpet.

"Stefan? What are you doing here?" Benji asked incredulously as his mind went back to the last time Stefan was in his room

"I- I need to talk- i need help-i -help me!" Stefan cried.

"Wh-what's wro-wrong?" Benji stuttered.

"They want me to- to go to school!" Stefan blurted

"Physical... school?!" Benji exclaimed, utterly shocked.

"YES! WHAT DO I DO?"

"Say yes, you idiot!"

Benji was ecstatic since now he could spend more time with Stefan!

"But I've never- i've never been to school before and i've never had friends or a locker and i don't know how it's going to be and i'm so so scared and i-"

Before he knew it, Benji was holding up a hyperventilating Stefan and whispering soothing things in his ear. Of course, Stefan would be scared. What was Benji even thinking, being so ignorant of what the other boy was feeling and only concentrating on the fact that they'll be together more?

"It's ok. You won't be alone. I'll be with you the entire time! Just try it out once, and if you don't like it, you can go back to online classes and homeschooling, alright?" Benji whispered quietly.

Stefan just nodded as his panic slowly faded away. Suddenly realizing that his hands were all over Stefan and his head was super close to his as well, Benji jumped back, blushing.

"I- I'll get you some water!" he blurted out and ran, leaving Stefan alone in the room. Stefan chuckled, the boy was so transparent.

And that was that. The next morning, Stefan was walking to school with Benji, his hands shaking. And for a while, Benji pretended to ignore it. But he couldn't any longer. So Benji hesitantly reached out and held Stefan's slightly larger, warm hand, marveling at the feeling of holding hands with him.

When he looked up at Stefan, cheeks tinted a slight red, Stefan's eyes were wide and his mouth was open and it seemed like he wanted to say something, but instead, he just looked back at the road, and his hand tightened around Benji's, making the smaller boy's cheeks flush harder.

Eventually, they reached a large building with a lot of greenery in it.

"This is it. School. AKA hellhole filled with baby demons" Benji mused, winking at Stefan. Stefan laughed, amused by the boy's antics.

"Well then let's go to demon-training class then, eh?"

The boys laughed and headed inside, unaware of the beady black eyes that followed their movements and the clicks of a camera intruding upon their fairytale lives.

As Dylan walked into Helen's house, smiling, he was met with a wad of cash in his face.

"Getting straight to the point, are we?" Dylan chuckled, his voice vibrating through the empty house.

"DYLAN! SHUT UP AND TELL ME IF YOU SAW SOMETHING, YOU IDIOT!" Helen yelled, her fists clenched by her sides.

"Hmm.. I did. Helen, dear, I think you got really unlucky with the men in your life. Because I'm pretty sure your darling son is gay too" Dylan giggled.

"YOU- WHAT ARE YOU SAYING YOU RETARD!" Helen exploded

Dylan casually brought out the picture he had taken of the two boys holding hands and looking into each other's eyes and held it in front of a crazed Helen.

"Your son, and your neighbor's son. You do realize their windows are side by side, right? For all you know, they've probably been enjoying each other's company for a while now. HA!" Dylan taunted.

Helen was glaring at the ground with a murderous look.

"not again" she was mumbling

"why me?"

"i did everything right!" she hissed.

"WHY DID HE TURN OUT LIKE HIS FATHER?"

"WHAT AM I, A MACHINE THAT CONVERTS PERFECTLY GOOD MEN INTO THOSE DISGUSTING FAGS?" Helen cried, completely distraught that her only son was also gay.

Dylan's laugh thundered through the house as Helen's tried to comprehend the fact that the boy she was raising was into men.

"FUCK IT ALL" Helen raged and went to go get her son, when Dylan pulled her back, whispering something in her ear that made her eyes gleam with malicious intent.

"Yes.. yes, Dylan. Why, you're right" she trilled, a sinister smile forming on her face.

"I'm coming for you... Stefan..."
