(5) Catching up

We walked over to the galato shop as happy as could be!

We finally made it over there and walked inside. Guido hot strawberry and I got (f/f). We then sat down and started talking about everything that had been going since we last saw each other.

"So,what ever happened to Ercole?" I asked him. "Oh him. Well,he kinda went crazy after not winning the portorosso cup to what he calls "perdenti" guido said as he bend his finger up and down. (perdenti means losers)

"Really?" I asked. "Si. But he still hangs around here. Still trying to keep up appearances and respect from everyone else. He only hands around with Ciccio now. I don't want to go anywhere near that catfish." Guido said as he licked his ice cream. I giggled at his remark.

"So keep a look out for him. He still not too fond of you after beating him and calling him out as a cheater." Guido told me. "Which you weren't cheating! I didn't mean it like that!" Guido reassured me,making sure he didn't make me feel bad.

I laughed. "It's ok guido. And don't worry,I'll keep a look out for him." I said. "It'll be best." Hw said back. I nodded.

After we got done eating our galato,we went to the beach. We sat down in the sand and watch the sunset. It was Guido's favorite to watch sunsets.

Just as I repositioned myself,there was a small crackle coming from my pocket. Guido looked down. "What was that?" Hw asked.

I then felt in my pocket,and pulled the note that he wrote me along time ago out.

Guido gasped. "You kept it all these years?" He asked witha smile on his face. I nodded. "Of course I have!" I told him. I then read th Peary where it says "I love you"

Guidos face turned red and he got all embarrassed. I giggled. "So you admit that you love me?" I teased him. "Yes. I do. I love you lots." He said as he smiled at me. I smiled back.

"And I love you just as much Guido." I said witha smile. He grabbed my hand and he,d it as we watched the sun go below the water.

After that,Guido walked me home and we promised to see each other the next day.
