When Iris was seven, life began changing dramatically.

Suddenly, it was like history was repeating itself.

It started with a disagreement over a movie. And even then, Iris had been scared to death. Because she felt that it was just the beginning.

And it truly was.

Soon, the disagreements were about practically anything, even the smallest things.

Sarah and Iris' cousins were oblivious. And whenever Iris would try to intervene and prepare mentally her younger cousin about what she thought was going to happen, Sarah would tell her she was crazy.

But all Iris wanted was for Sarah to be prepared in case a divorce happened. Or if the two of them were taken away.

Knowing how it had ended the previous time, Iris had put her cardigans and clothes with long sleeves in easily accessible places. She did not want to move yet again. She had already moved twice.
