Taehyung pov

Ahh, God's!! Why is time going so slow?’ I huffed as I eyed the clock hand slowly but steadily crawling to 2:28pm. It was my last class of the day and the remaining two minutes on the clock is what is separating me from freedom. I counted out the seconds, slowly leaning to the side and lowering my hand down on the side of my desk to snatch up my bag at any second. ‘5..4...3...2..1!!!

The shrill white timer on the professor's desk buzzed with gusto on the light brown surface to signal the end of class and I instantly snatched up my bag with a relieved sigh. ‘Finally.’ I breathed as the professor dismissed us with a final warning about studying for our quiz and hurried to gather my things.

"Taehyungie!" A joyful voice called out from the crowd of students as I shoved my books into my backpack. I paused at the sound of the happy voice and instantly knew who it belonged to and searched for the owner of it. I peered past the bodies bumping into each other in their haste to get out to make it to there next class and saw the sunshine of the dance department, Hoseok, walking gracefully towards me with a huge grin spread across his heart shaped lips as he stopped in front of me and bounced excitedly on the balls of his feet.

"What is it, Hoseokie?" I asked, slinging my bag over my shoulder and checking my watch to see how much time I have until my shift starts at my job. "Can we make this quick? I really need to get to work soon." I say, giving him my full attention now.

"I wanted you to come to my party this Saturday and to also tweet out that you're actually going. Pretty please with a cherry on top of me?" Hoseok said, putting his hands together and batting his eyelashes cutely. ‘As if saying no was an option.’ I thought as I nodded my head.

"Okay, I'll go. What time?"

"At 9pm. Bring something to the party as well." He added and I nodded again in confirmation, patting him on the shoulder with a promise to be there before brushing past him and heading to the door when a sudden thought stopped me in my tracks.

"Quick question. Is this like a party for y'know, the gays or a party for everyone? Like will there be straight girls?" I questioned him, eyeing him suspiciously. He chortled at my question, giving an enthusiastic laugh at my expression before answering me.

"It's just a party. Everyone is invited. But hey! Can you also invite that gorgeous barista you work with as well? Jin, I think? It would be great if he attended."

"Cool, and Yeah, I'll try."  I gave him my word that I will invite him and darted out of the room, running the large length of the Seoul University campus from already being minutes behind schedule and jumped in my car and sped all the to work, arriving just in time to find a place to park with five minutes to spare. ‘Thank you heavenly father for not letting me die from speeding.’ I prayed as I parked my car in the employees only parking lot and opened the door to the cafe. The little golden bell chimed above the door, announcing my presence to all that was inside.

"Welcome to Pete's Coffee! What can I- oh it's just you." The handsome, broad shoulder pinkette behind the counter deflated once he saw it was me coming through the doors and dropped the perky act to slump back down on the glass counter with a yawn.

"Well good afternoon to you too, Jin." I replied coolly, grabbing my apron and going back to clock in on the timesheet. I stepped up beside Jin to await customers and was immediately neck-sliced by him.

"Yah! That's for coming later than usual! I was bored being here 30min before everyone else." He complains as I rubbed the sore part of my neck he karate chopped.

"I'm sorry, I got held up. But speaking of that. Would you like to attend a party Saturday at 9 that my friend is having? He wanted me to invite you." I say, leaning against the counter to stare at the handsome male.

"Who is your friend and what year? " He replied with curiosity.

"Jung Hoseok. A sophomore like me." and he scrunched his nose in distaste.

"Dear god no. A party for sophomores?" He shudders at the thought and I couldn't help but feel offended by that. ‘He's only a junior! What's a one year difference?!’

"I'll have you know that everyone of all years is invited. Except the freshmans because they can't drink and nobody wants to supervise them." I say defensively, scooping up a coffee bean and pegging him with it. The coffee bean bounced off his solid chest and he dramatically gasps and covers the spot with his hand as if wounded him.

"No need to be defensive," he rubs the spot with a low whine. "and sure, you can count me in. But I have a question. Can I also invite some people too? Mainly just 3 people in particular." He smiles mischievously and I couldn't help but wonder what he was planning to do.

"I don't see why not." I answered truthfully. If he does pull something crazy at the party, it wouldn't be my fault since Hoseok wanted him to be at the party. So it's above me now.

"Yay!! Text me the address later and let's get to work. The 3pm commute is juuust about to start." We hurried to our designated stations and the chef/owner arrived up front and quickly got things running in the kitchen. As predicted the commute came in heavy and we were swamped with customers. Multiple girls left their numbers scribbled on napkins while casting flirtatious winks and kisses towards Jin and I but were ultimately tossed out as company policy forbade us to take such things.

After the crowds began to disperse and it started to get late, the owner came from the back and told us if we keep our stations clean until we close, we'll be able to leave earlier tonight while he'll stay behind and lock up for the night. That put a pep in our steps as Jin and I chatted about trivial things like movies and anime until his phone rang. He pulled it out of his apron and checked the I.D before leaning his broom against the counter to answer the call.

"Hold on a sec, it's my baby brother." He answered the call while turning his back to me and uttered a soft greeting. "Joon-ah? What's going on?" He paused for a second, listening to the person on the other end of the call as I openly watched and listened in on the one-sided conversation with curiosity, "So you want two of the chocolate cake slices and a chocolate chip scone?" He smiles at whatever his brother was saying and he ended the call with an 'I love you too,' before hanging up. He pocketed the device and went to get the leftover bakery desserts that the owner lets us take and put them in his bag before coming back over to me.

"I didn't know you had a brother." I blurted out and he laughed at my fast reddening cheeks.

"Yes, I'm older by one year but he's the genius in the family and a complete shut in during the semesters. He doesn't like to go out with friends often and I'm trying to change that." He explains while picking up his broom and continues to sweep.

"Invite him to the party. He could meet new people that way." I suggested and he smiled at me.

"He's one of the people I planned on bringing." He laughed and I joined in at the sound of his windshield wiper laugh. "He's gonna be so annoyed with me but that's what older brothers do! We meddle!" He announced proudly, clearly having no doubts about what he planned on doing to his baby brother.

I started to wonder what his little brother would be like. Did he look like Jin? Did he have the same laugh? Broad shoulders? Handsome? An innocent aura? Overpowering? I couldn't wait to get a glimpse of the mysterious man at the party.

‘This party just might be interesting after all.’
