broken promise

chapter 4

as much as I hate school, I have to get up because if I want my dream job as a nurse, I need to work hard to get there, which is around 14 years of torture yet to come, and honestly, I probably won't be able to handle that many years, I mean who would be able to?

I grab my stuff and head out the door making sure I don't forget anything. which I don't and that's good, because if I were to forget something like my notes for world history then I would be screwed

I arrive at school, first thing I do being rushing inside, and looking for sadie, who I always hang out with meanwhile the others get here, since both me and her get here around the same time

but to my surprise she's not alone, caleb is with her, and this never happens, he usually gets here like 5 minutes before the bell rings, or am I just late?

I check the time on my phone and I am in fact not late, just super early, like we are talking 40 minutes early

"hey sadie" I say walking up to her and caleb "do we always get here at this time, or is my phone's clock wrong?"

she looks at me confused then checks her phone, facepalming herself almost instantly "no, we usually get here 10 minutes later, I honestly have no clue as to why we got here this early, but most importantly, why the hell are you so early" she finishes as she point to caleb, who is just standing there confused

"well you see, I was dragged here early by my sister because she said I should start getting here more often"

"and is she correct?"

he starts putting thought into my question, but eventually shakes his head "no, I believe I should get here at exactly 8:30 my dear friend, and look who we got over there" he says pointing over my shoulder, causing me to look, only to reveal noah walking over to us with gaten

"well well well, where have you been? you've disappeared for almost 2 weeks now I believe?" sadie says as noah just glares at her "haha very funny, I've been gone because of personal problems, but I'm here again so let's just be our normal selves and get on with our day"

I know when noah is okay or doing completely fine, but that isn't the case for today, he looks sad and annoyed which he never is, he's always bubbly and happy, but never sad

then all of a sudden I see louis walk over to us and immediately start panicking, so I grab millie's arm and pull her into the restroom, that is a little far from where we were at

"Are you okay or?" She starts saying as I let go of her and check outside to see if he's coming which he isn't

"yeah no I'm okay, I'm just in a crisis-"

"I saw him coming, you can't hide anything from me y/n, I can read you're face like a book" she says as I roll my eyes until she pulls me out and the next thing I know I'm stood in front of Louis

this encounter is going to go very well
