If wishes were horses,
I would like to ride you to the moon.
If wishes were heights,
I'd love us to met in cloud nine, hopefully soon.
If wishes were places,
I would have taken you with me to Cameroon.
If wishes were words,
Then let this poet chant her poems to you, by noon.
If wishes were people,
Then someday let's name our kids, Zayd and Zaytoon.
If horses were wishes,
Then take my hand timid loon.
If wishes were heights,
Let's take a ride in a balloon.
If wishes were places,
I would take you to an 'heaven on Earth', playing pontoon.
If wishes were words,
Then, let's write the world a lampoon.
If wishes were people,
Let's friend somewhere in our home,—Africa. And live as one gentle couple.
If outside is hell,
Together we can build a home called heaven.
With the sky above our heads
And the stars glittering in our eyes,
As it is, right this moment.
If wishes were horses,
Let's take a ride after the hot afternoon.
Or maybe, have a picnic at forenoon.
Like romance characters in Disney cartoon.
Be my prince and let me be your princess.
But this time, we'd be in our native dress.
Let's sit before the endless sky and sea.
Let them withness we; you and me.
Having the best times of our lives,
With the richest fruits and red wines and finest of macaroons.
