Purple and Pink

(So I have no motivation to write about Zar and her adventures right now so imma just write about Zar's friends' day and the drawing is of how they look like, the one with yellow eyes is Jackie and the one with pink eyes is Beio, and I did draw the picture please don't use the photo!)

"Excuse me! Pardon me! Hey! Watch it!"

An Irken rushes past a crowd of people with a bunch of books and papers stack atop one another making a tower that covers the irken's face. Her face looking like absolute death but at the same time looking like she had a business meeting to be at. As she speeds past the busy hallways, it becomes less and less populated until she is in front of a big door. She sighs before knocking on the door with her foot and without a signal for her to come in she kicks the door open.

"My Tallest!? You haven't started on the paperwork that you promised me you'll do! I'm sick and tired of doing all the work for you! You both are acting like smeets that haven't even heard the Irken song of legacy!" The Irken slams everything in front of the Tallest, rage in her eyes.

"Woah, Woah calm down-" red says calmly.

"Don't tell me to calm down sir! I refuse to do anything for either one of you two ever again if you don't start working in at least half the work! This isn't my ship, this isn't my people yet! So please just help me out, even if it's just a little!"

"Jackie really? There can't be that much work to be done-" purple says before being interrupted by Jackie.

"Not a lot? NOT A LOT?! Sir, I haven't had a real break in 10 years! Every time I go and try to rest even a little something goes wrong with the ship or more work is compile to me because it seems like you two are too lazy to do anything besides eat and drink all day long!"

"....wow...that must have been a mouth full to say. You finish yelling at us?" Purple says bending down to her level.

Jackie looks shocked and her eyes widened and mouth agape. "Your not mad my Tallest?? I thought you would have said to be quiet or that I'm being overdramatic?"

"No, you do have a point we've been working you too hard lately, it's just... well we honestly don't know why but lately we've been feeling something strange that just...trouble us both." Red looks to his side with a troubled look in his eyes.

"Like our time as tallest is...number. And honestly, we don't know exactly when this will all happen, but it just is worrying. And we know we haven't been the greatest leaders...but if we could make you better than what we were then we could step down in peace." Purple finishes what Red was thinking.

"I- you- what do you mean by your time as our Tallest is numbered? You two aren't at that age yet? So how are they numbered?" Jackie looks down at her feet.

"Like I said we don't know exactly when that time will come maybe tomorrow, or maybe in 4 million years, all we know is that it's getting closer day by day. And for all we know that could mean our death-"

"Don't say that!" She now looks up at both of them screaming and crying."You two will live the rest of your lives as our Tallest, no, as MY Tallest! Sirs, please don't talk about death like it's normal! I don't care if you give me ten million paper works to do, you were there for me when no one else believed in me! You may not help a lot or even try to be good, but you'll always be my Tallest! Please...don't..." she begins to cough and hiccup as she trying to get the words out her mouth.

Red and Purple look at each other than go over to Jackie to comfort her.

"Jackie but you must understand that everything has its limits, even our leadership. So when that day comes we only hope you be way better than us and not some lazy couch potatoes like us." Purple rubs her back

"All this work is so that we could have prepared you for the hardship of being A Tallest." Red pats her head

"Wait, you aren't going to get an assistant Tallest Red? I thought there must be two Tallest to take over?" Jackie looks at Red and tilts her head

"Well, I've looked at all the candidates and let's just say none of them are really qualified to even be one. That's why I've decided that you could pick who you want, after all, you of all Irkens should pick a good one." Red Smiles. "Now let's talk about that break of yours." Red and purple get up.

"I say let's give her 3 months, it seems reasonable that she takes that long off-"

"I was thinking...maybe I could get...5 months off, and I get to pick someone to come with me to wherever I want to go." Jackie asks slowly scared of what they might say.

Red and purple look at each other and smile.

"Sure, you deserve a long break, and who would you bring with you?"

"Ship Commander Beio sirs," Jackie says with a bit of hesitant in her voice

"But why? I thought you two hated each other? Unless..." Purple gasps dramatically and puts his hands to the side of his face "you two are secretly in love with each other!"

"Uh what? No, he isn't my type, like at all." She looks very unimpressed. "We do get along from time to time, but I just wanted to spend time with some of our mutuals friends together. Also, it's a long way where I'm going and I'm not about to go alone, I rather have someone I hate with me than alone for a month or two."

"Well I guess that kinda makes sense... well anyways your break starts today so go find Beio and do whatever you want." Red shoos her away and Jackie walks out feeling accomplished.

She got to her room and slides down her door. Her room was spotless and organized to her liking, nothing was out of place, but she somehow felt like she was the one who was misplaced. She looks at a mirror that was to her right and stared at her reflection, she looked like a normal Irken, but she was exhausted. She felt the need to crawl on her bed instead of call Beio or pack, and just lay there; she didn't really want to sleep to say, but just wanted to stare at the ceiling of her room. She sighs heavily.

"Computer, call Ship driver Beio for me please."

"Calling mindless driver"

"Why, helloooo there little Ms. Perfect, what do you want from me today? Here to talk about my horrible, no good, driving skills?"

"No, but up do need to work on it, I'm here because I wanted to be nice to you-"

"That's a first!" he rolls his eyes playfully "Omg did you get me the newest antenna updo?! You know how much I love to stay in style so that all the ladies come running to me, and it's probably why none ever come running to you~" he mumbles cattily.

"I already regret doing something this nice for you" she takes a deep long breathe "I've asked Our Tallest for a break, they said yes, and I'm able to bring a plus one with me. And since I was gonna go to Urth and everything I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to visit Zar?"

"Ohhhh you want me to be a third wheel? Oooo maybe a wingman! Haha," he starts to laugh wildly while Jackie's face turns a deep shade of blue. "But on a serious note, yes. I wanna be able to see Zar again...it's been so long and on the times I've seen her on call with Our Tallest she always looks upset."

"Well start packing cause we leave tonight in, hmmmmmmm, 4 hours. Bye!"

"Wait, WHAT?! You could've called me earlier about this! My antenna products-!"

Jackie hangs up on him, leaving him to his own screaming fit as she chuckles underneath her breath. She started to pack and once she finished after an hour she went to go pick up Beio, but she knew he wasn't gonna come out for another hour or two and just waited there for him to come out. She sighed and started to tally the seconds until Beio came out. Sooner or later the door opens wide as an Irken male rushed out of their room.

"Ahhh, sorry Jackie for making you wait so long! I was having problems deciding on what to bring to make sure I'm always on fleak!"

"Wha-?"

"Never mind, let's just go already." Beio grabs her hand and they walk to the docking ships, got on one, and started their adventures to Urth.
