chapter 1: a kind soul

Its been eight years sense alpha force wiped out my pack and my pup is still to young to defend herself food in my area is scarce my puppy and I were both almost starved to death I'm looking for a pack ran by two old friends of mine Winston and Eve "mama are we almost there?" Her pup asked while looking up at her "no sweety we aren't" she said while she kept walking

11:00 pm

It is as the middle of the night it was freezing cold we weren't gonna last much longer if we didn't get somewhere warm as I kept walking I came across a human cabin something I really wanted to avoid just than a young human came out of the cabin wearing a winter coat he stepped off the porch and looked over at me "a wolf" the boy said as he walked over I let out a warning growl ready to attack he kneels down in front of me and smiles "hi there misses wolf are you cold" he reached down and scratched me behind the ear it felt nice and I instinctively nuzzled the boy affectionately "and you have a pup to" he said while patting my daughter on the head he unzipped his jacket and picked us both up he zipped us up in his jacket and carried us to his cabin his body heat felt nice after walking for hours in the cold he went into his cabin with us and let us out of his coat "I'll go get you some food" he leaves the living room and goes to the kitchen "mommy I thought you said humans were bad" her daughter said while looking at her "I guess I was wrong not all humans are bad" she said with a smile he came back in the room with a large raw steak "my parents will probably be mad but it's worth it" he gives her the steak she immediately starts chowing down on it while her daughter drinks her breast milk just than the cabin door opened "son were home" said a female adult while the male walked in after her than they saw the wolf "son what is that wolf doing in here" the male asked "she was out in the cold she had a pup and they were gonna die if I didn't take care of them" the boy said fearing that he was in trouble his parents both smiled "were proud of you son" he looked at them with wide eyes "really?" They nodded later it was time for bed his parents went to their room while he was already in his but I wanted to be with the boy I've grown quite attached to him in these few short hours I picked up my daughter and headed to his room I jumped up in his bed and he looks at me with a smile "do you have a name miss wolf?" She shook her head no "hmm I'll call you Midnight" she thought about it for a moment and nodded her head liking the name he looks at my daughter "and I'll call you Amber" she agreed as well

December 25th

I've been with the boy and his family for a while when finally it was time to go the boy gave me a heart shaped locket made of pure gold "take this to remember me" I nodded and let him put it on me and than me and my daughter left

After they left the family was having there holiday when a knock was herd on the door they opened the door to find a man in a uniform with the letter AF on it "Epham and Christa Wolfheart?" He asked they nodded "I'm here for Connor he has been drafted"
