THAT NIGHT, Y/N DIDN'T NEED to be woken by anyone - she stirred on her own. The nervousness and fear of the final night had sunken well into her bones, cursing her with restless sleep and making her rise early. 

She rubbed her eyes with the bottoms of her palms, glancing over to where Sabito was still asleep. With a soft smile, she wormed her way onto the branch he slept on, brushing her lips across his cheekbone and giving him a gentle shake.

"Wake up, Sabi. Last night."

He groaned, rolling over and almost toppling straight off the tree,  saved at the last minute by Y/N's hands on his shoulders, yanking him back to safety. "'M tired."

She had to stifle a laugh, at seeing this side to the capable warrior who was, really, still a teenage boy. His hair was messy, hanging all over his face, his cheeks made the same shade by the cool night air.  

"You need to wake up," she giggled, unable to stop now that she'd started. "Everyone else is almost wake."

It was true - teenagers were dropping out of the trees and congregating in the clearing. It appeared they were only four short, given that Giyuu and Hiroko were both the types of people who valued sleep, and Y/N was trying to wake her ...
