Armani's P.O.V
I started opening my eyes because I heard voices loud voices I think it was my dad and his wife but I dont know once my eyes were fully open I made my bed sit me up
"I don't even know what happened I was about to shoot myself in the head but somebody ran past the car with a kid in their hand the kid was screaming and then there was a couple of little kids running after the man one little girl saw me and said "he's taking my sister please help"so I grabbed the gun and ran down past the little girls I saw the man so I shot his leg and he fell I grabbed the baby from him and gave her to her sisters and brothers I told them to run home as fast as they could but then the guy jumped on me and started beating me in my face and my stomach and side he just wouldn't stop he shot me in my stomach and then he shot himself the same little girl who said he's taking my sister came back and saw me on the ground she grabbed her phone and called 911 then it all went black"I stated my dad looked at me confused
"What are you talking about armani?"he asked I rolled my eyes
"That's what happened last night that's why I'm in the hospital"I said
"Armani sweetheart are you s-"Aubrey started but my dad cut her off
"She ain't stupid she knows what happened"he said through gritted teeth I grabbed his hand and shook by head he nodded
"August baby I didn't mean it like that" she said trying to touch his shoulder only for him to shrug her off
"Where's my mother"I asked trying to change the subject
"I'M right here baby"Aubrey said I shook my head
"My real mother"I stated
"She had to go get her daughter from daycare"My dad said I nodded and closed my eyes again
"Mommy"I heard a little voice say I opened my eyes to see Karter with teary eyes I smiled
"Hey princess"I spoke weakly.
"Why you here you no like home"she asked I smiled and patted the bed for zay to put her up here he did as told and I grabbed her hands
"I love home it's just I'M sick right now I have about. One thousand boo boos "I broke it down so she could understand
"Dats alot of boo boos you know how bad dat hurt Oh lawdy I'M Happy I'M not you"she said I couldn't help but laugh even though it hurt
"You been around grandma huh" I asked referring to Xavier's mother she smiled and nodded I looked at zay and he shook his head I motioned for him to come and when he did I grabbed his shirt so that I could Peck his lips
"I love you"I mumbled against his lips
"I love you too"he replied I smiled pecking his lips again then let him go
"I wanna go to Trinidad as soon as I get cleared for flying zay"I spoke he nodded
"I thought we said No Armani"Aubrey said I looked at her then flicked her off
"Your Not my mother fuck outta here" I stated shaking my head
"Maybe not but I helped raise you, you don't have to love me and you don't have to like me but you will respect me I am your father's wife and your sister's mother so find a little class in your ghetto ass OK? "She said I looked at her shocked to be 37 she never cursed at me ever Id only here her curse at daddy or about him but never to me
"Watch ya' mouth hoe that's my daughter and I will surely make sure you take a nice trip to bop-a-bitch"I heard my mother say as she came in with a pretty little girl not prettier than my baby but she was pretty kinda looks like a lightskin version of me when I was her age
"Hey mommy"I stated
"Who dat and Why she calling you mommy"the little girl said
"That's your big sister Armani, Armani Hailey,Hailey Armani"she said the little girl nodded
"You know what August I'm done OK I've put up with your cheating lying and disrespect now for you to let another women disrespect me and not say anthing is foul OK? Foul and I'm done with this shit I want a divorce as soon as possible"Aubrey stated changing the whole subject back to their argument
"What's wrong with you Aubrey I've done nothing but be there for y-"he was cut off by her talking
"That's a lie August and you know it"she yelled in his face
"Alright kids let's go get some ice cream" I heard zay say before he walked out with the kids
"Your a bitch nigga August and I hope you have a nice life" she stated before walking out he stood up and let out an excruciating manly yell
"Ughhhhhhhh"he screamed causing me to jump
