Part 3

Kevin had to be careful with Katie as they went to the doctor's cause of the virus that was around, and Katie's muscles were a little weak, but a little therapy and they will be okay eventually

"I guess I have to put you on that special drink to help you" he says as he was buckling her in her car seat so they could go home

Before they went home Kevin stopped at the adoption agency to fill out paperwork to adopt and they were going to maybe look at wheelchairs just in case Katie was going to need it later on for her legs cause her doctor wasn't happy right now

"Okay Katie girl I have your wheelchair that you might need to use for your legs cause the doctor says this is from your old mommy" he says as he was talking to her as well

Kevin was okay with helping her through this

"Daddy is always going to be there for you" he says as she hugs him cause she wanted that hug cause it hurt her that she was not going to be like other kids her age

Kevin was going to get her a sibling that was like her that way they could have things in common too cause this is going to be a roller coaster ride for her and he was going to be on it with her and helping her along the way as well cause this was going to be really hard on her to take

"How about some ice cream?" he asks her cause that was one way he could cheer her up and make her feel better as well

Katie loved ice cream, so Kevin was going to take her to get some ice cream

"Here we go sweetie" he says as he was going to help her

Katie ate really good for Kevin

'Don't worry Katie I will be here for you" he says as he was having his ice cream as well

After they had their ice cream, he cleaned her up and he took her to the restroom and then they went home to wait for her sibling

(Months later)

"Katie, am I going have to put in a stoplight for you?" he asks her cause she was getting good at her wheelchair and chasing after Sophie

"No" she says as she went to the restroom

Soon the phone rang, and Kevin was hoping his heart won't sink when he picks it up cause he was hoping he could foster a special one for the holidays, and it was the adoption agency, and they had a baby that was just brought into their care so he was going to foster it for the holidays cause he had his nonstop toddler and a baby that could use all of his attention

"Perfect I will see you in a bit" he says as he was going to see if the room was fully ready for the little one

The room was fully ready for the baby, and he had both baby boy and girl clothes just in case the baby was boy and Kevin didn't want to put him in Katie's old clothes

"Katie sweetheart can I talk to you?" Kevin asks her

Katie goes right to daddy, and they were going to have a heart-to-heart talk right now

"Sweetheart in a little bit there will be a new baby staying with us for the holiday season and the baby might be staying with us if the social workers seems the new baby is happy where it is" he tells her

"Is the baby a boy or a girl?" Katie asks him

"I don't know right now princess we will see soon though" he says as the doorbell rings

Kevin went to answer the door to see who it was, and it was the social worker and it looked like she had a baby girl in her arms, and she was going to be special like Katie was, and Kevin was okay with that cause he was going to love her a lot and that what counts right now

"Katie want to come and meet your sister?" he asks her

Katie wheels to him and she parks next to him, and she sees the baby that Kevin had in his arms at the moment

"She little" Katie tells him

"You were that little once upon a time" he tells her

"No way" she tells him

"Oh yes way sweetheart" he says as he showed her a picture of what she looked like when she was a baby

Katie couldn't believe she was that little once and she was starting to wonder about her real mom and her real dad

"Katie, I think it's time I tell you about your real parents" he says to her cause this was going to be coming eventually he rather just get it over with and just be done with it cause he did not want her asking questions later about her real parents and what had happen to them as well cause it might not be good at all

Katie was ready to listen to what he had to say about her real parents and why was Kevin was her dad and where was her real dad

"Okay you were only a baby when this happened, so you might not know much" he says as he was still talking to her right now

"I know that" she says to him

"Well the nurse could not find your parents ta all they searched the hospital high and low to find your parents, and they could not find your parents, so they passed you off to every patient and you were passed off to me twice before i feel in love with you and you were destined to be my little girl, so I adopted you and we have been together ever since that day" he says as they were still talking right now

Katie couldn't believe her real parents abandoned her when she was just a baby, but she was grateful that Kevin adopted her when she was a baby

"Since that day baby I fell more and more in love with you, and you are the best thing that has ever happened to me" he says as he was

Katie starts to cry cause that touch her heart as well and she was grateful for her daddy and her papa loved her more and more every day and her daddy loved her even more

"Well sweetie want to give your sister the tour?" he asks her

Katie was up for giving her sister a tour of her home for now and she wanted to be the best sister she could be right now to her baby sister who was going to be sort of like her

"What is wrong with the baby daddy?" she asks him

"She will have cerebral palsy, so you two will have wheelchair races if they think she will be happy with us" he tells her as he was going to tuck the baby in for her nap since she was falling asleep on him right now anyway, so sleep was coming to her since she was happy where she was

Kevin took her to her nursery for her nap and Katie followed behind to see where the new baby was going to sleep at and she was happy that the new baby wasn't sleeping in her room at all, but she was going to be across the hall in the spare bedroom

"Does she have to sleep in the room across from mine?" Katie asks Kevin

"No, she can be in my room, and she will be once I set up your old bassinet in my room, I hope it's okay she sleeps in your old bassinet" he asks her

"I don't mind I didn't know I slept in a bassinet when I was a baby" Katie tells him

"You did and I loved the color so I kept it and the bassinet is still in good shape right now so it can be passed down to the next little one or it can go with you" he says as he puts the baby in her crib for the time being right now until he got the bassinet from storage later

Part 4 will come in time when I don't know right now
