Chapter 35 - Split

The girls gathered at the art cabin and conducted interrogation of their own.
Nobody was admitting to anything. It felt like the time when they were accusing each other of being the snitch who turns out to be Jihyo.

Jeongyeon presented a video evidence of Mina, sneaking out of their house in the middle of the night. Mina have manipulated the security cameras around their house to avoid evidence, turns out, Dahyun installed an additional secret camera which only her knows. But when she saw Mina's footage, she immediately told Jeongyeon who she thought would know what to do about it.
"It happened five times. I asked around your school and they told me you go home earlier than usual. You never go home early."
Mina scoffed, looking at Jeongyeon directly in the eyes as if she had nothing to hide.
"Maybe I was only searching for my missing girlfriend at the time."

"How about the pills you gave Dahyun?" Jeongyeon asked. "Chief Park doesn't have any evidence to support their allegations that you knew but maybe we don't need evidence. We just know. Because you're that smart. You crafted a poison from scratch for Pete's sake."

"You really think I can do that to her? To any of you?" 

"Even an angel fall out of heaven sometimes and spend a little vacation in hell."

The two girls looked at each other eye to eye, trying to comprehend their next move.

"Guys, that's enough." Chaeyoung demanded.

"What? She's not telling the truth. You should be helping us out here." Jeongyeon stated.

"I don't- I don't know." Mina started to panic as she hold her head with both hands as if trying to forcefully play in her head, those unfound memories.

"What? You'd say you don't remember too?" Jeongyeon added, provoking the girl.

"I said stop it! You're triggering her!" Chaeyoung exclaimed, giving her a warning look.

That's when Mina began to curl up in pain as if her skull was cracking.
"It hurts!"
The girls flocked, looking at her with confusion and worry. Chaeyoung held her down and made her sit on the couch. 
"Hey, babe. It's okay. Look at me."

"What the hell is going on?" Nayeon questioned.

"Focus on me. You can do it."
Mina tried but it seems so painful to even put up a fight.

"No. I'm sorry." Mina mubmled, tears streaming down her face.

"Hey…" Sana tried to comfort her even if she doesn't understand what was happening.

Suddenly, Mina laughed like a devil. A kind that would send shivers up someone's spine.

"What the fuck is going on?" Tzuyu asked, watching her unnie turn into someone she doesn't recognize. Same as the others.

"Shit." Nayeon mumbled. She couldn't believe her eyes. It looks like Mina literally transformed completely into a stranger.

When she stopped laughing like a maniac, she just took a look at them one by one as if scanning their facial features.
"Hi girls. I'm glad to see you again." She stated. The girls looked at her with an enormous amount of fear and complete surprise.

"What the hell?" Jeongyeon said. Nayeon hid herself behind her out of discomfort.
It felt like some evil spirit took over Mina's body and none of them likes it.

"Shall we settle down first?" The evil Mina said. The girls followed quickly and sat on a circle, indian style on the floor.

"W-who? I mean what…" Jihyo tried to find the right words but failed. Even someone like her who have known Mina since they were kids, do not recognize the person in front of her and that's absolutely terrifying.
