"PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE still not mad at me" Lorelai asks Riley once she came back home.
Riley had went straight to her and Rory's shared room, to lay on her bed to continue to read Oliver Twist.
"I don't know what you're talking about" Riley says plainly, not making a single eye contact with her mum
"Hey Riles please don't be like that... oh god not the music take those out" lorelai says grabbing Riley's headphones from her hands "promise me you'll forgive me by tomorrow"
"why what's tomorrow?" Riley asks curiously
"Ha you don't sound mad anymore" Lorelai says merrily
"You know i'm curious by nature" Riley says squinting her eyes up at her mum and Lorelai nods agreeing as she took a seat at the edge of her bed
"I know honey... so, tomorrow we have guests so you have to be on your best behaviour" She tells her and Riley sighs
"Since when do we have guests" Riley groans
"What do you mean? we have guests all the time" Lorelai claims and Riley raises her eyebrows at this and Lorelai gives up "okay occasionally"
"who are you trying to fool i'm your daughter" Riley states and then asks "so who are these guests tomorrow?"
"Luke's nephew is in town for a while and will be living with him, so i thought we would invite them to dinner to make him feel more comfortable. He's around you and Rory's age" Lorelai tells her
"Huh, that's weird" Riley says to herself which perks Lorelai's interest
"What's so weird about inviting Luke's nephew to dinner" Lorelai questions
"What no, that isn't weird, it's just weird cause i just met this cute guy at the bookstore" Riley explains to her mum
"cute guy from bookstore?" she asks moving her head closer to Riley's all interested
"Do you think it could be Luke's nephew? i've never seen him before"
"Dark hair, moody and not much of a talker?" Lorelai asks and Riley gets up eyeing her suspiciously
"Dark hair, mysterious and a talker actually" Riley includes
"Really? i met Jess earlier and he didn't strike me as a talker" Lorelai says
Riley shrugs "maybe it's not connected"
"Yeah maybe" Lorelai agrees.
Riley, however, secretly had to disagree.
