"I DON'T THINK YOU really understand that i don't want to talk to you right now" Riley sighs, disappointed by Sam's presence, a small part of her hoping that it was Jess instead of him.
"You can't keep ignoring me, you know" He says to her as Riley's eyes searched her surroundings, hoping to find something or someone to use to get her out of this situation with Sam
"I can if i try hard enough"
"Riley, i really want to make this thing between us work. Lets try to be an actual couple this time. I mean, what is there to lose?" Sam says hopefully going to grab her hand but Riley snatched it away
"But i don't want to" Riley scorns, her expression obvious that she really hated every second of this conversation
"Why not? I really think we could make it work" Sam tells her which Riley rolls her eyes
"You're honestly pathetic. What makes you possibly think that you and i would work? in what world would we work?" Riley crosses
"We could if we tried-" Sam starts and Riley starts shaking her head whilst biting her lip, not believing what she was hearing
"No, we're not gonna try, you know why, Sam? cause i'm not getting back together with you, so just take it and leave it. Do me a favour and leave me alone" Riley dismisses him angrily. She was done. She was done with him a long time ago. It wasn't her fault that he couldn't take no for an answer
"Give me a reason" he then says not giving up
Riley groans at this "i don't need to give you a reason, me saying no should be enough"
"Just give me a reason, Riley, one reason why you won't get back together me, and i swear i'll back off and leave you alone, but i'm not leaving here until you give me that reason" Sam desperately attempts
Riley was about to respond harshly but stops herself to think. She thought of Jess. And she knew it wasn't a good idea from the moment she thought of it but she knew there was nothing else that could possibly get Sam to back off. And this seemed plausible enough.
"Fine, you wanna know why i can't be with you?" Riley asks and he nods his head, fascinated about what Riley was gonna say "I'm with Jess"
"You're with Jess?" he questions not believing her
"Yep, i'm with Jess. I'm dating Jess. Jess is my boyfriend" Riley wanders a little more than she should have but she was sure that he believed her
"So, you're telling me you're with Jess?" Sam asks again and Riley irritated, nodded her head
"How many times do you want me to tell you? do you want me to spell it out for you so it can reach your thick headed skull?" Riley said very aggravated
"Very funny" Sam recoils and then goes "so, you're actually with that loner, makes sense why he got so worked up a few weeks ago"
Riley's blood boiled at remembering at what Jess revealed to her about Sam's comment on sleeping with her, which was the reason why Jess apparently got into a fight with her ex in the first place.
"So, it shouldn't come as a surprise to you on why i won't get back together with you" Riley says bitterly to him
He drops his head and then looks back at her and points at her as he backs away towards the door "this isn't over"
Riley gritted her teeth as she went to go grab her movie. All that for one movie. She knew she had to deal with the whole Sam situation, especially now that she had lied about dating Jess. But for now she just wanted to be alone.

What the hell was Riley thinking? telling Sam that her and Jess we're dating? This whole thing was going to blow up in her face. Riley shook her head not believing that she caused all this mess.
"what's up with you?" Rory asks Riley noticing her sister slumped against the couch with a saddened look "you love watching dead poets society"
"I just had a bad day" Riley tells her as Rory comes over to sit next to her, wrapping an arm around her
"Aw, i'm sorry you seemed fine earlier"
Riley just shrugs "It's just Sam, he won't leave me alone"
"Yeah, that guy really doesn't know how to take no for an answer" Rory says discontentedly
"Rory, Riley we're home" Lorelai calls out rather loudly making her presence known. Riley knew that meant her mum was exhausted and done with spending the day with their grandfather "Please for the love god be home, one of you!"
They both get up from their spot to greet their mum at the door who instantly forces them into a tight bone crushing hug
"I don't think I've ever loved you both quite as much as I love yous right now" Lorelai says dramatically not letting go of either of them
"Ah, ribs cracking, organs crushing" Rory says as Riley tries to get herself out of the hug
"Yeah, well, love hurts" Lorelai remarks hotly, walking past them towards the kitchen
Richard then came into the door
"Oh hey, grandpa" Riley greets, and despite her bad mood she was pretty happy to her grandfather, as was Rory
"Oh, lovely to see you two" Richard says delightfully holding onto his coat as he walked to the kitchen with his two granddaughters
"How was your day?" Rory asks him nicely
"It was very pleasant" He answers
"I heard you saw Mom in action" Rory continues with the conversation as Riley took a seat town on the table in the kitchen, not in a talking mood
"Oh yes he did" Lorelai retorts
"She's great, isn't she?" Rory comments towards her father with a sweet smile
"She's. . uh, spirited" Richard says for an answer
"Spirited" Lorelai spites giving a look to Riley, noticing that there was something off with her
"Spirited is nice. Hey, let's talk dinner. How about Chinese?" Rory says trying to stir the conversation in a different direction to the best of her abilities
" Very spirited food" Lorelai snidely says making sure to the emphasis on spirited
"Grandpa, do you like Chinese food?" Rory then asks him
"If prepared properly, yes, I like it very much" Richard tells her
"I'll go call Al's" Lorelai wanting to avoid any more interaction with her father and walks out of the kitchen and to the phone
"Al's?" Richard asks the girls with a muddled tone
"Al's Pancake World" Riley clarifies helplessly but that didn't help his confusion at all
Richard goes to follow Lorelai out into the hallway "I thought you said we were having Chinese food"
Riley sighs tiredly and says to Rory "let me know when the food is here, i'm gonna take a nap"
