RILEY ANGRILY MADE HER way to Luke's Diner. Why was it when you were in a bad mood that you happened to bump into things? It only continued to sour Riley's mood. She already wasn't a morning person, and it didn't help how her night went last night.
She tried ignoring it. Tried acting like it didn't bother her. Riley has never been the type to read too much into things. She shouldn't be feeling like this over a boy she had only met 2 days ago. She wasn't going to let this Jess get her all in her feelings. No guy has before, why should she let him?
Riley didn't sleep well last night, and so she woke up earlier than she usually would have. She quickly got dressed and grabbed her things for school, not caring if she was being loud or not. But when she started walking over to Luke's she felt guilty and hoped that she didn't woke up Rory.
She walked over to the counter and slopped down in her seat, resting her head into her hands, not realising that Jess wasn't far from her, right behind the counter staring at her
"Looks like sleeping beauty didn't get her beauty sleep" He says sarcastically moving closer to her
Riley removed her hands from her face and looked up at Jess with a glare "So how was your night? did you get up too much?"
Jess furrowed his eyebrows at her, clearly confused on what her sudden distaste towards him was for "geez what's your problem?"
"I don't know, Jess, you tell me" She says to him rather harshly, she knew she was being unfair and unreasonable to him, but she would rather direct her anger towards him than to Rory
"Wait, are you mad at me because i bailed dinner last night? i thought you were cool with that" Jess says to her still confused
"No you idiot i couldn't care less about you bailing dinner, which by the way was your loss cause it was delicious!" Riley points at him tiredly
"Then what's with the sudden hatred for me? or are you usually like this? cause if thats the case, your future husband is a real lucky man" Jess sarcastically says and she continues to glare at him
"don't bring my future husband into this!" Riley grumbles and Jess, as much as tried to fight it, found himself smiling at her "what the hell are you smiling about?"
"Maybe i just find it funny to see you so annoyed" Jess suggests leaning against the counter, that was kind of true, he did find it funny how seriously annoyed she was with him but it was also cute the way her lip curled-
Jess shook his head not allowing himself to finish his thought
"Oh you think it's funny huh? I bet you also find it funny to steal someone's book and write in their margins, yep real funny, you're a real comedian Mariano" Riley dramatises and raises his eyebrows
