♕ Chapter 49 ♕

Jan: Think about it Avi. You can come to California with me if you want. Rohan won't be holding you back. And when we are in California, it's you, me and no one to stop us.

•Throughout all these school years, Jan was the one I was grateful for. Ever since we met, she has always been there for me, and ofcourse Jai. After that we went inside the school. For sometime I thought it is not that bad until...•

Aarohi: Look who finally showed up.
Mysha: Where is your so called "boyfriend"?
Aarohi: Looks like he might have lost his way.
Jan: You two have nothing better to do right?
Mysha: Actually yes, we do. Guess who is one of the finalists in becoming the prom queen?
Jan: Let me guess. Oh yes, Avneet is.
Aarohi: You have no chance of winning in that outfit.
Mysha: Good bye losers.
Jan: I was like a minute away from dragging her by her hair.
Avi: Good thing we don't have to tolerate her after today.

• Then we went to the auditorium. After a few minutes the principal called the participants on stage. It was not clearly heard as the music was loud. I and Jan and like 2 or 3 participants were near the stage, so we went up there. All were so engrossed in dancing that they didn't hear him•

Principal: Good evening everyone.
*No response*
Principal: ATTENTION!!!!!! I want all the candidates for prom queen on the stage. NOW!

•Other candidates too came on stage. I don't why I even signed up for that. And then the principal started the bhashan•

Principal: Good evening students. This class has been a lot of trouble, I am happy that all of you are graduating. All the people standing on the stage has been a great asset to our student community. The initiatives you have taken have benefited the entire class, I want to thank you for that. Today I can crown only one of you as queen. But trust me, all of you are the winners.

•You will not believe but this was the same thing told to the class last year, and the class before that too I guess. And after more 30-40 minutes the speech finally ended•
