"when can we leave" we have been coming to the prison every 3 weeks and everytime it was the same thing she would try to talk to me and i wouldn't answer her buy jayda would and i would get upset and want to leave so i would "lani you need to stop acting like this everytime it's been a year since been coming here and you do this everytime grow up and forgive her and try stop holding her pass against her she is trying to be better for y'all why can't you be like
jay-" lights started to flash "ALL OFFICERS TO VISITING THE ROOM CODE RED ALL OFFICERS TO THE VISITING ROOM CODE RED" me and my aunt look at each other and ran to the visiting door we was stop by the officers but i was able to get pass them and as soon as i got the room there was guy with a gun to jayda head and when he locked eyes with me and he ran up to me but i was pulled back by my aunt and she tired to get jayda but he shot her in the leg and a officers came up and he shot him too  i turned around and started running but i was stopped by my mother "lani go with that man he gonna take you and your sister okay y'all gonna help mommy out"

FLASHBACK ENDED....

"HEY!" i snapped out of it "i'm sorry what did you say" she just stared at me "are you okay lani?" "yeah i'm
okay just thinking that's all jayda" she looked at me like she didn't believe me but didn't go on with it "anyway what day did you need to watch my love bug" "umm can you tonight i need to go somewhere" i didn't wanna tell her i was gonna go look for him and mom i didn't wanna make her mad "yeah what you doing working tonight?" i thought of a lie to tell her "i'm gonna try to see if i can talk to von about this co parenting" she didn't really say anything she didn't like him for the bs he put me through but she stands him for our daughter

"alright i feed her and she should be ready for a nap but i'm head out so wish me look if i can't find him i'll be home soon" she hugged me "alright be safe" i left out the door and got inside my car before i could started my door open and in comes von "i know what you doing and if you think you going alone you crazy then a bitch" i just looked at him rolled my eyes and started on the road i need to get to grove park my mother is very known in that area "lani you really gonna do this? you thought this through?"

"yeah i did i need to know why she allowed all that and more like all my life i have been there for this lady just for her to keep smacking me in my face with bs" he didn't say much "i understand let's do this" i just need answer i need some closure something because what she did that was unforgettable jayda was never the same it literally broke us apart to a point we went years without speaking jayda literally ran away from home and nobody heard or saw her for years till recently

"i love you shawty if you can't get the closure you need from her you got me remember that" i stopped the care and i just looked at him shocked von has never told me he loves me "what did you say?" he smirked at me "i said i love you" he came closer to me and give me a kiss i wrapped my arms around his necked and kissed him back "i mean i love you lani i've always loved you your my wife the mother of my child my lover my everything i don't ever wanna lose you i know i fucked up and i know gotta long way to go to show you i'm sorry but i'm gonna do it for you shawty just watch a see" i just smiled at him von knows how to make a girl feel special but i also had to remember he also know how to make every girl feel special i'm not gonna trust him till i see change i won't get hurt this time around "so tell lover boy to back off before he gets hurt" honestly he doesn't have worry about him i haven't heard from lucas in 2 weeks now it's like he up and left without a word  "i haven't heard or seen him in 2 weeks so no need to worry" all he did was smirk and nodded his head
