Gojo Satoru strolled into the establishment, slowly inhaling. The smell of dark roast and fresh baked pastries immediately filled his senses, making his mouth water. It wasn't a busy afternoon, only a few customers filled the cushioned seats, sipping coffee and eating sandwiches. A slow instrumental played on the white rimmed speakers dotted on the entire ceiling.
The black haired woman named Kana-who he had learned was the owner- tilted her head to the back room as she worked on a latte.
"She's back there, Gojo," she muttered, not looking up.
"Ah, thank you Kana-san!" He said rather loudly, making the woman roll her eyes.
"I should start kicking you out, y'know," Kana put the coffee cup on a tray. "All you do is stand around and bother y/n."
"Bother?" Gojo gave her an offended expression as he slid onto a chair. "Out of anything I create a strong work environment, thank you very much."
"Shades," the door swung open and y/n tsked as she saw her consistent visitor sitting on a stool. She tried to look annoyed, but there was a faint smile on her lips.
"Don't you have work today?"
Her sweet voice trailed from the back as she walked to the counter.
"Uh huh."
"But you're here."
"Uh huh."
Gojo gave her that stupid grin of his. "Don't get too excited, but I had a planning period so I thought I could come up here so that you could see my beautiful face."
"I've got a hot coffee pot in my hands. Don't make me use it."
It had been three weeks since the Wednesday when Gojo had apologized to y/n. After the first couple of days, he had started visiting the shop, popping in to say hi; a small gesture of friendliness to show that his words weren't in vain.
Then came the second week. He'd make it a priority to come in and catch up with y/n, bringing small gifts which consisted predominantly of pots for the front of Oasis. All he had to do was swing next door and place them at the entrance. The flirting had returned, and so had y/n's consistent rejection. It was- as Gojo liked to call it- their little thing- since he pridefully bet with his whole chest that she secretly enjoyed it. By the third week, this was part of a routine, and y/n couldn't deny that a part of her lit up whenever he entered the cafe. Gojo Satoru became the thing she needed everyday.
"It's not very busy today," the white haired man commented, looking around the place.
Y/n dipped her head in agreement. "Mhm."
"Maybe you could get off a little earl-"
"Nope," Kana interjected.
Gojo pouted, putting his head into his hands. This was also a reoccurrence.
Y/n, covered her mouth as she tried not to laugh. "Another time, okay? I promise."
She gently reached out and flicked a strand of hair that had fallen between his blindfolded eyes. Gojo perked up as she went to assist a man who had just entered the cafe.
