"We get it, King. He strong and has an army, we don't need to know anything else!" said Tess in frustration

"Sorry. There are rumors that he's planning something big, and i couldn't help but wonder if catching Eda was part of it"

"I think we have other things to worry about" said Pete as he pointed at Luis

Luis was building a large sci-fi gun using both negative magic and technology

"And Luz isn't that much better", said Pete despondently as he pointed at Luz who was drawing glyphs like a madman

"I'm gonna talk to them" said Tess worriedly before approaching the twins "hey, you two."

"Whatever you're about to say, save it" said Luis in a cheerless tone

"I don't care what we'll be facing" said Luz in a serious tone "we'll rescue Eda!"

King approached Luz silently before speaking

"But you're going against the strongest witch alive!" Said King worriedly

"If he really is that strong then why didn't he fight Eda himself?" Asked Luis with an angry frown as he remembered Eda's duel against Lilith "Why did he hide behind that coward?!"

"Calm down, kid" said Pete calmly as he flew to Luis "save the anger for when we're shooting"

Luis stared at staff in front of his silently before taking a deep breath and taking Pete from the air into his hand

"But she's in her owl beast form, how is she gonna recognize you?" Asked King worriedly

"Actually! I can help with that!" Said Tess interrupting the conversation "in my short time studying the curse, i created a version of the elixir. One that should, in theory, weaken the curse in her cells enough to turn her back no matter what"

"Good job, Tess" said Luz as she nodded in approval before turning to King

King went silent for a few seconds before speaking

"Well then, I'm coming too", said King, determination written on his face

"King"

"Me and Eda don't always see eye to eye, but i consider her family. I want to get her back as much as you do" King continued

"That settles it. Tonight, we raid the conformatorium" said Luis in serious tone

"Yes! Finally! A good excuse to harvest witch organs" said Tess excitedly before getting a fearful look from Luz

"Yeah, we're not doing that" said Luz patting.Tess on the back

"What?! I brought the scooper and everything!" Said Tess in frustration as a scooper appeared from.the hatch on her back "See!"

"Yeah, but we're not planning on killing anyone" said Luz with a weak smile

"Boo!"

And thus, they headed out

The group was now sneaking around the streets of bonesborough, aiming for the conformatorium

That was until they saw the news on the crystal balls

Eda was to be petrified at the conformatorium at sundown

"Please tell me that's not as bad as it sounds" said Luz with horrified expressions

"Petrification is only done to the worst criminals; and once the spell is complete, it can't be reversed" said King in a serious tone

As soon as King finished talking, Lilith appeared on the crystals as the one who captured Eda

"Lilith," said Luz, hate clear in her voice "she cursed Eda. She captured her own sister. She's is the worst! If i ever see her again!"

In her anger, Luz picked up one of the crystal balls and smashed it into the ground

"She'll pay for what she did" said Luis growling at a crystal ball's screen as he prepared his large cannon

"Calm down, we have to think about saving Eda first" said King

"Yeah, and i don't think killing her is a good idea" said Pete calmly

"Don't worry, I'll just get very close to it" said Luis with a huge frown

Luz and Luis already explained to Tess, Pete and King what they felt about the whole thing

To them it was their fault Eda was captured, and it was their job to fix it

Especially Luis, who felt like he needed to make sure Lilith payed for everything she did to Eda

Him getting closer with Luz because of the isles made him realize how awful he was to his family sometimes

To him, he got off too easy

But he didn't curse Luz, he didn't imprison her, he didn't send her to get what is essentially as death sentence

The thought of Lilith getting away with all of that angered him

It was now Lilith's turn to be punished, and he was determined to make sure she pays in full

"*sigh* King's right" said Luz dejectedly "but how are we gonna get to the conformatorium in time?"

Then they all saw an emperor's guard patrolling the streets happily

Tess looked at King and King did the same

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Asked Tess narrowing her eyes

"I believe so" said King in a serious tone

"We're gonna have to do something diabolically evil" said Tess

"Something so criminally insane we'd be sent to the conformatorium immediately"

They stepped on grass

.

It worked

"Perfect plan" said Luz in satisfaction
